Hello -The camera of the VTech VM901 does not have a battery back up feature. it requires connection to an AC power at all times to function. Thank you.

Does it record video?

Yes it records the first few seconds of the movement in the camera cloud storage... this means you can't get these videos ... and you can see them through the phone App while the camera is swiched on only.

Will it work with 220v?
