I always want to smell like incense or the inside of a spice shop. However, perfumes give me a headache and make me nauseous. I stopped wearing anything for years because of it. The last several years, I have enjoyed indie perfume oils because of the high quality ingredients and lack of alcohol (which seems to be a major part of my headaches). I decided to branch out and see what was less mainstream in the US but popular elsewhere. I am very glad I did. This does not smell like anything I own. The tobacco is strong on me, but after many hours however, it fades to a soft sweeter scent. I enjoy putting this in the crook of my elbow with something a little sweeter on my wrist for a layering concept.

Very strong but long smell

Vetiveryyyyy!! Leatheryyyy! Earthy!!! A li’l balsamic!!!! For me this is also vaguely automotive… there’s a little aspect of gasoline - this is appealing to me but maybe not to everyone. It’s like “driving a new convertible through the winding roads of a damp, forested national park on a crisp cool day.” It smells remarkably natural to my nose which is surprising at this price point. I’m not sure about projection. It’s sitting close to my skin, but it’s winter here… I can imagine that in warm weather it could become a strong fragrance that might warrant very moderate application or even dilution (at least for non-Arabic, “western world” scent wimps like me who just aren’t acclimated to strong fragrances). Really a steal at the price, impressive.

I really wanted to like this product despite the bottle being damaged upon arrival. It smells like cheap chemical syrup. So a little education for people reading this. When you buy a fragrance there are top notes, middle notes and base notes. Top notes are what you smell first when you spray , or apply a fragrance, middle notes are about 10-20 minutes after you apply fragrance and base notes are whats left after a fragrance sets or dries on your skin and mixes with your own personal chemistry. This fragrance is an absolute blur of all the notes it claims to has and its a thick, strong nothingness. The so called oud is not present, the top notes of bergamot and citris is nowhere to be discovered and The mid notes of patchouli and rose are non existant, The base notes of oud and vanilla are not that at all. AXE body spray is better than this product.

Didn’t like the smell for me… smells more for a man… beautiful bottle though

I bought this last Xmas for my DH, and he loves it. Of course, I have worn it on some occasions as well, and I really like its staying power. I just use the little applicator wand and touch my wrists, the crook of my arms, behind each ear, and the hollow of my neck, and I was good for the day. Imagine my surprise the following day when even after I'd showered, the scent still lingered where I could smell it. Beautiful.

The scent is so faint, I struggle to smell it. But it is a pretty scent when I can catch a whiff. I wish it was stronger.

Good quality
