I was skeptical after reading the bad reviews about it not lasting etc. but I found the gum to be excellent. I chewed a piece for an hour (as long as I really wanted to) and it was fine. No falling apart. And the flavor was good. Doesn't taste cheap. The only issue was the strong taste was short lived. Here's how it goes. I pop a piece in my mouth and chew. Immediately it gives a very strong rich Licorice flavor for about 60 seconds. Then the flavor levels out to very low. However, after chewing for an hour, I can still taste a light licorice taste. I think this was adaquate and to be expected. If you want a strong licorice flavor the entire time you chew, you just need to chew the soft candy. Really, all gum starts with a strong flavor and levels out. I think this gum is no different. That being said, I don't have other licorice gum to compare it to. All things considered, I think this is excellent gum, tastes great, and is good for your teeth.

BEST. GUM. EVER. This flavor outlasts the apocalypse, seriously. First piece, literally chewed for 12 hours. The perfect gym for someone who needs “something” to occupy. Flavor isn’t too overpowering, literally best gum you can get, well worth the price.

Delicious! Tastes just like fresh licorice, but brighter and juicier! I’m 31 and it takes me back to eating my mother and gandmother’s candies when I was little. Licorice flavored things have kinda died out in the past few decades, but dang was Blackjack gum delish! I knocked off a star because they disintegrate super quickly. I expected them to lose flavor quickly as that’s par for the course with Spry gum, but after about 5 min or so, they begin to dissolves as well. Which I’m not accustomed to with the other flavors. Needless to say I went through the bucket pretty quickly because of that - I wanted the flavor and to keep chewing, so I’d just discard and pop again. It’s become something of an addiction. All-in-all, even accounting for the downsides, I still wouldn’t hesitate to buy these. The pH in everyone’s mouth varies slightly which can account for a different rate of disintegration + the flavor is crazy delicious.

I don't know why folks are saying the flavor didn't last! Of course it's not going to taste like the first candy-coated crunchy bites indefinitely, but this DID have plenty of licorice flavor for a long while (at least 1/2 an hour)! It's the answer to anyone wishing there could be Good-n-Plenty flavored gum!!! I love it! I bought one bottle to see test it out, I will be buying the 6-pack next!! ♥

I have used Spry gum for a long time, but now I only want the licorice. It tastes great and it doesn't upset my stomach like mint flavored gums do. Mint is actually not good for indigestion and may cause it. Spry Licorice is great chewed just before bed to gain the advantage of its anti-microbial action and wake up without sour breath. I believe the claim that it promotes oral health.

This gum tastes like authentic soft black licorice, and the flavor hits you hard as soon as you bite into it! Yay! But within five minutes the flavor dissipates and then you’re just chomping on a bland piece of gum. Boo! I made sure I bought the right kind—“Stronger Longer Licorice” was the Amazon description and the stuck on barcoded label said the same but if this is supposed to be the longer lasting version I’d hate to try the regular version.

I am a black licorice lover so when I found this sugar free gum licorice flavor I am in hog heaven. The flavor is yummy and last a long time with one piece . My only dislike is I cant get small flat packages anymore, so carrying it around I have to buy the jar and empty it in A ziplock bag to carry it in my purse. The jar is not convenient.

Wasn't sure about this CCP product. Pricey. At first, tasted great. One or two pieces had good gum texture. Licorice flavor lasted. However, by the time I got to the last five pieces, the flavor deteriorated and they were inedible! Garbage! For the money and spoiled pieces, it will be a NO for me.

Flavour is great (if you like liquorice), and lasts longer than other aspartame-free chewing gums. Doesn’t stick to teeth like others do, and also has fewer calories (0) per piece (others usually 5 cal or more per serving). Only negative is the price is very high! Liquorice is the only Spry flavour I enjoy.
