Overview: I needed a way for my elderly mom to be able to get rice to cook because we have a 50lb. bag and she can't lift it and I'm not always around, so I looked for a small container that she could use and I came across this rice storage container by Viretec. Negative(s): -Seal -Location of handle Do any of the negative(s) affect my overall rating and/or recommendation? No. Not really. This storage container is just the right size to hold rice and not be too heavy for my mom to lift. The handle might be better on the side instead of the side because my mom is short so holding it from the top makes it a little difficult but not impossible. The top has 4 clasps on all 4 sides and snaps into place but not sure how well sealed it actually is. It does stay on top even if you lift it by the handle on top. I like how this has a built-in spout to make pouring out the rice or whatever you put it in easy. It's also nice that it has a measuring cup that's exactly 1 cup (not 8oz.) for rice. You can also lock it over the spout with a slight turn and stays in place so you won't lose it. Overall, a really good container and easy way to pour and measure the perfect amount of rice, and I would highly recommend this product.

We needed an airtight container to store our opened breakfast cereal. It was an ongoing problem; we kept the original bag of cereal in the original box. More often than not, a few buds of cereal would fall back into the box instead of falling back into the bag. (It had to have been my husband; I would never let that happen!) Of course, I would always be the one to empty the bag and since we recycle, separating the plastic from the box. I would find stale chewy buds in the bottom and as grose as it sounds, I ate the stale buds. I had enough of it. We required an airtight container to maintain the cereal's freshness and crunchiness, and to hold an entire box of cereal. I put my husband to the task and he found Viretec Rice Airtight Storage Container. It is perfect, AWESOME, and best of all my cereal is fresh and crunchy. We could not have designed a better storage container. It holds all of my 22 ounces, and much more, plus it is 9 1/2" tall, 3 1/2" wide and 6" deep. The opening has a removable measuring cup that with a twist makes the container airtight. Although the measuring cup is a universal 180ml Cup (1 Cup=180ml). It's not a special US Cup of 250ml. Do not use it as a US 250ml Cup. Since I'm a Georgia Girl, I can certainly adapt. Last but not least, the Ergonomic handle with a perfect groove design which meets your one hand operation requirement. Oh, I forgot it has 4 Side-Locking Lids and a Portable handle. It is Awesome, Wonderful, and we love this product.

Easy to use, closures seem to seal well, 2 lbs of rice fits well, easy to clean, cup design is nice to have all in one. I don’t know about keeping bugs out because it’s not in the container that long.

I have a lot of days that I use on top of my washer for detergent, scent beads, and OxiClean. I switched to these after he is in the manufacturers packaging vibrated off of my washing machine during the spin cycle and spilled everything all over the floor. They have all been pretty good, however this one, the top doesn’t fit tightly, I had to try several times before I could get it to be secure enough that hopefully should it fall any distance the top will not come off and spell powder all over my laundry room. These are great because they are airtight. They’re easy to fill, they have a measuring cup on the top and also an easy easy grasp invention on one side of the container. I am hoping that this will be as good as the ones I have previously purchased and should it be dropped or vibrate off the top of my washer the top will not come off and spell its contents. I like this brand a lot better because it is a better plastic than the others that are hard plastic and are prone to cracking. The one I had previously purchased for this purpose was a hard plastic and I could not get the top to snap on and unfortunately, it was too late to return to Amazon foreign exchange. The quality of this container is much better and the top fits snug. It saved a lot of space in the laundry room instead of a big container of OxiClean.

Great sealed rice storage container. It hold a large bag of rice and is a good quality. I love having my pantry all organized.

I was very annoyed the first couple times I used them because it felt like the lid was impossible to clip on but after you wear it in it becomes easier and easier to use, making them very useful containers .

No me gusto para nada la calidad del plástico, la tapa no cerraba bien y aparte parecía que se iba a romper al cerrar, tamaño demasiado chico, en general no me gusto nada el producto, por eso lo devolví.

Perfect in all fronts, just as described. Air tight seal, convenient size and portability, I use it for my dogs' food. The measuring cup is the perfect accessory. 100% recommend. This dispenser made my life easier.

it's now up to $50aud??? the lid is such cheap, thin quality, that the 'buckles' are immediately straining and about to break... NOT worth the price. i got a random $20 one last year and the only reason i tried to replace it was because of the breaking measuring cup... other than that it was far superior to this... don't get it, especially for regular use

It's just right! The handle on top makes for easy pick up and handling. The lid snaps are secure and hold tight, no worries for the lid to snap/fall of when using. Easily contains a big bag of rice. The pour spout is great and love the added bonus of the pour cover being a measuring cup, so convenient.

Product is as advertised. I expected a larger size container so it was a bit of a let down, thus the 4 stars. Otherwise, the product appears sturdy and well made.
