The colors and comfort.

When I decided to order these socks, I was a little hesitant thinking that they might be too heavy or that the wool would not be comfortable. I liked the colors and style. So, I decided to try them. I am so glad I did. These socks are not at all overly heavy or thick. They are very soft to the feel, and very comfortable. I think they provide some warmth because of the wool in them, but the cotton causes them to breathe so they are not too warm. The fit is perfect and they don't bunch up at the toe as some socks do. I like the length of the tops since they are long enough that my leg doesn't show under my pant legs when I sit down, and they are not so long that they cover the calf of my leg. The elastic at the top of the socks is snug enough that they don't fall down, but not so tight that the leave marks on my legs.The colors provided in the set I got are dark blue, red, burgundy, forest green, and dark mustard. They are all nice colors for winter and fall, and would complement most outfits. They are a nice knit, but the knit at the top is a bit looser than the rest of the sock. So, it may develop pulls in time. I have not yet washed them, and cannot yet attest to how they fare with washing. If they don't wash well, I will update my review. I am also considering buying another set for my 97 year old mother. I have a hard time finding socks for her that aren't too tight on her legs. I think these would be perfect for her.

They fall down. They’re not tight enough. I’m size 7.5

I hate socks that slide down and bunch up around your feet. These look cute, but they need more elastic or something because they slide down right away. Annoying.

They work great as stocking stuffers, are true to color and size, and were reasonably priced.Would recommend.

Living in the wet chill of the Pacific Northwest, my feet know when they are encased in a thick woolen sock. These socks feel more like a summer sock. Nowhere on the packaging or the socks does the manufacturer state the composition of the socks yet in the seller’s description on Amazon it clearly states composition includes ‘35%wool’. Additionally, if you wear a shoe size larger than women’s 8, these may feel exceptionally tight and the toe seam may rub. To be fair, the colors are true to photo and the price was probably too good to actually be warm woolen socks. I should have trusted my instincts.
