If you live in a regular neighborhood with neighbors in close proximity, and you don't like them, this is the light for you! It will look like day time when your neighbor directly across the street looks out his window, and people passing by walking their dogs at night will need sunglasses. You can't even see anything but your own reflection when you try to look out your own front window at night because it's so bright on your doorstep that the crickets are sunbathing. But maybe you live on a farm and the nearest road is a quarter mile away and you want passers-by to see what color shoes you're wearing when you take the trash out at night. If that's the case, you found the perfect light! And don't worry about the pesky decision of whether or not to try to dim this sucker, because that is just not in the cards.

It isn't as bright as I wanted

This is a lovely light & great size. Easy to install. Clean looking, good weight. For those of you, like me, that really don’t want the hard yellow color.... it might be disappointing. It looks more like the typical 2700 vs 3000 advertised; where I was hoping for an in-between with the daylight & natural light. The photo advertised in the listing is the temperature I was hoping for.

Design is nice, easy to install, works great as dawn to dusk. Looks a bit bigger than I expected, and I just don't like the bright optic white of the plastic shade. Can't imagine it could match or be close to the color of any wall. Hoping it yellows in time.

I bought these as dusk to dawn lites. They were really tacky and cheap looking. It was obvious it was plastic instead of glass. I returned these. I also did not like that it was a disposable lamp - no bulb just a built in light. Not very environmentally sound either.
