How is the cutting effect? Anybody try this yet?

I bought this to do bush and branch trimming on our one acre yard. This thing cuts small limbs really well. I've been trimming all over the yard. I But it has no chain oiler and the bar adjustment has slipped a couple of times. The weak spot of this saw seems to be the bolt that tightens the bar. Not tight enough and the bar adjustment can slip. Over tightening may pull the bolt through the plastic housing making the saw useless. Keep in mind that it is for light duty use and it will be ok.

Is it safe? Can the elderly use it?

It is a chainsaw, care is needed when using it. So far it has been easy to use, has not bucked but it designed to be used by a right hander. It worked well for me trimming small branches..

Can I buy replacement batteries? The 2 batteries I have do not charge.

I wish I new but I have no idea. Send it back they should provide the batteries.
