I have a nearly 16-year-old dachshund with dementia and who is not hearing and vision impaired (but still happily plays fetch, zoomies, and runs around like a puppy somehow). He started sundowning about a year ago and would just bark in the evenings for hours on end, the shrillest bark. We were getting headaches and were frustrated and we didn't want to feel that our little, old man in his glory days. We talked to our vet about how to support doggy dementia, and she suggested this supplement, saying it's the only one her patients have reported liking but it doesn't work for everyone. We've been on it now for 3 months. After the first month, we didn't immediately repurchase so we could see if the changes we noticed were placebo or not. He started sundowning again. The supplement cuts his sundowning episodes by about 75%. It's genuinely making his twilight years much more enjoyable for everyone involved. I decided to write this review because I accidentally forgot to repurchase this before going out of town leading to about 5 days without the supplement and, sure enough, the sundowning returned. It just got delivered today and my husband and I are both glad it finally came in. This is going on auto-ship now. Mileage may vary, of course, but if your pup is struggling with sundowning, I'd say give this a try as long as you don't have any contraindications. My pup also has hypothyroidism and it was safe for him to take with those meds. We put it in a pill pocket (it's huge) and he eats it/chews it- no problem. I don't think it has much of a taste or it at least doesn't bother him. The directions also allow for you to open the capsule into food, but he doesn't always eat everything he's given in one go and he does well taking pills, so he's not deterred by the giant, submarine-shaped, suppository-looking capsule. It effectively comes down to like a dollar a day for everyone's comfort and sanity, which is worth it to me.

**Q: Anyone used Neutricks and can compare the two?**
A: I posted this on my review but it may get lost so I will add it here and hope this helps others that were dealing with the same symptoms. This combination has absolutely saved our 14 yr old Jack Russell who was experiencing heavy dementia, night pacing, crying, whining, walking into the wrong side of the open door, and obvious depression:This is our daily routine (he is 20 lbs):SUPPLEMENTS:- Senilife - We squeeze 1 gel into a piece of cheese or ham, daily- PhyCox Soft Chews - 1 chew daily. For his joints, so he is comfortable despite mild arthritis, it contains Omega 3 Fatty Acids which is great depression, Alzheimer's disease and dementia. He now runs up and down the stairs without any difficulty- Cranberry Comfort for Dogs & Cats - 1 chew daily. Because he had kidney and bladder stones which were causing UTI's and making him leaky, this stuff has been great, no more UTIs and no more leaking.- Nature's Way Coconut Oil - I put a teaspoon in his food, it's good for digestion, arthritis, prevents infection and makes skin and coat soft.- Cholodin Canine 50 Chewable Tablets - 1/2 a tablet every day. Treats aging symptoms, improves neurological function, also treats muscle loss and hearing.- Neutricks - He doesn't like the taste of it so I break apart 1 tablet in his food, which he will eat within 1-2 days.- Grizzly Salmon Oil All-Natural Dog Food Supplement in Pump-Bottle Dispenser - 1 Pump in his food. It's high on Omegas, good for brain (depression, Alzheimer's disease and dementia), joints and body.FOODI also changed his diet, he used to be strictly on Wellness Core kibble/dry, but after some research I found that dry kibble actually puts more strain on the kidneys to digest on senior dogs and fresh or wet food is recommended for older dogs, so I switched him to Blue Buffalo Stews and mix a handful of the Wellness Core Grain Free kibble in it but I make sure it's moist plus add the coconut and salmon oil. http://www.bluebuffalo.com/blues-stewStay away from "Senior food" - It doesn't have enough nutrients and it's too processed.Eye Medicine:- Dorzolamide HCl 2% Ophthalmic Solution - 1 drop each eye mornings and one each eye at night per his Ophthalmologist's prescription.Benefits:* Reduces pressure in the eye due to glaucoma (painful, uncomfortable)* Controls production of fluid, particularly within the eye* Reduces risk of nerve damage and loss of visionIf you have an older dog I highly recommend you take him to an Ophthalmologist, I wish we would have known earlier because earlier treatment may have prevented vision loss, he is now at about 80% on eye eye but only 30% on the other.I hope this helps, our baby is back to his old playful self, also I put toys all over the house and as soon as I come home he just wants to play.

**Q: I don't see anywhere what this product is made of....what are active ingredients?**
A: The URL no longer works.  In fact, I could not find the ingredients at all on the Senilife website.  I did however find them on drugs.com and I can confirm that the numbers above are correct, except drugs.com says Vitamin B6 20.5 mg.  BUT I think that dosage is for 𝙙𝙤𝙜𝙨 𝙪𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙧 30 𝙡𝙗𝙨, as they should get 1 pill.  𝙙𝙤𝙜𝙨 𝙪𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙧 50 𝙡𝙗𝙨 should get 3 pills.
They also say:

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great product, beware of expiration date

Our vet recommended this product for our 10 year old schnauzer mix which has started showing signs of dementia, he has shown great response since taking it . The only negative thing I discovered and I'm not sure how impacting it is but upon receiving 4/26 we noticed that it was dated to expire 8/26. I would really prefer to have at least a much fresher product even though it's a 30 day supply. But, it does work !!
