Having a 42" waist, the wide elastic band still has ample stretch so these beauties fit very comfortably...snugly enough at the waist, but still have another inch or maybe two of elasticity. (This is a plus in case I gain back the weight recently lost.) Having thinner thighs, they are nicely loose in the leg too; these are very, very comfortable.
