You just have to be careful since the part that holds your veggies is very sharp and I poked myself while trying to use it. It's not super necessary unless you're working with a tiny stump of your veggie. I've only used this with cucumbers so far but it's great, it reminded me of using a giant pencil sharpener! I"m a big dork and I found this really fun to use, you could even turn it into a game or something if you have older children and want them to eat more veggies. I was able to get really long "noodles" from it and didn't have any issues. It wasn't even super difficult to clean. I just flushed it with a bunch of soapy water and all of the cucumber bits seemed to come out pretty easily. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Okay *by D***Y on Reviewed in the United States on May 10, 2014* This works really well for zucchini and cucumbers but not for much else.
