Works well on permed hair that feels dried out to help hair feel soft again. Smells good, too.

The first time I bought this the smell was awful, but the 2nd time it smells devine. I'm not sure what changed but the smell is pleasant and floral/beachy. I have colored red hair which as we know fades extremely quickly. I've been using this product before daily swimming, and my color hasn't faded and my hair is soft and still smells great after getting out of the pool. Will continue to buy, especially for my dyed red hair :)

I was not emotionally prepared for the stank of this stuff. Hands down, it’s one of the worst smelling hair/ body product I have ever used. And I’m not just talking about a picky preference on whether it smells cheap, floral etc, I’m talking about it smells like someone did the ol’ switcharoo on this bottle and returned it filled with something like round up or something because there is no way this has so many great reviews and not a one has brought up the stench of this stuff. I put it on after a hot shower and immediately went from clean and refreshed to nauseated and questioning if I somehow put some chemical from my husbands garage in my hair. I literally had to stand outside in the cold air like I was airing myself out. The closest description I can give is like the feeling of being carsick mixed with melting plastic covered in some sort of toxic chemical, like someone bottled sone sort of toxic fertilizer and labeled it hair care. It is not even slightly pleasant. I am a practical, utilitarian person, I can deal with a lot if something works, but this scent is criminal. I tried to give it away to my teenage boys and even they refused, and teen boys will use basically anything if it means not running out. I cannot finish this product because the smell is that bad.

The product itself is excellent and has saved my hair from our hard well water. Unfortunately the seller shipped this product and the large shampoo and conditioner pump bottles loose in a large box with no protection to any of the product pumps. Unfortunately all 3 products were bounced around and leaked everywhere,

Honest reveiw, the bax smell stuff people are saying is not true, it smells good, like coconut with a hint of like a beachy smell. It is a little strong but evens out in your hair, and isnt the type of scent that causes headaches(I am sensitive to scents sometimes.) I work as a swim instructor and am in a chlorine pool for 5 days a week, 24 hours a week. I have used this product multiple times after my shift, after I wash my hair and it has made a very big difference. My hair doesnt feel dead anymore. It goes on light and not oily. I dont know about heat protection or styling, however it is amazing for hydrating and reparing your hair, especially the ends. I also am not sure about colour protection, but its working great so far.

Thought with a name like Malibu it would smell beach. But sadly that wasn’t the case sort of smelled like hair spray. But overall it does make your hair soft.

Smells terrible, doesn’t condition hair well
