Fixed M53 Pump Short-Cycling!
My M53 cycles every few minutes under normal circumstances. It began to run about a dozen or so short cycles after the initial cycle that pumped out a majority of the water. We almost replaced the whole pump. I thought it was because there was no weep hole but it continued after drilling one. Replaced the switch. Problem resolved. Installation was easy. There are videos on YouTube. Biggest tip would be to take a picture of the wiring on the old switch before disconnecting so you know where everything goes back.
