Wonderful activities and guidance in "recreational activities" for all ages
Although the book includes a number of wonderful of recreational/play activities, it is so much more. The book is infused with an inspired and inspiring approach to children, youth, and really anyone. The author well conveys the values and principles behind the "nurtured heart" approach, then shows how they apply in a range of situations. I have attended his multigenerational workshops and can vouch for the effectiveness and delightfulness of his approach. It has had a big influence on my own leading of activities. This book would be helpful to anyone who leads school or recreational activities for any age, in schools, clubs, elder care settings, and multigenerational groups, as well as to parents in general. I wish I had had it when my own children (now adults) were at home.

Great Work/Play
This is some great work being done by some very skilled and talented individuals. I have experienced the play-leadership skills of Howard Moody and can speak to his brilliance. Play on!

Revealing your children's greatness to them during play
‘Nurtured Heart Play’ has inspired me to be more playful and have more fun with my children while nurturing their hearts at the same time, so that they may become radiant in the knowledge of who they truly are and grow to nurture the hearts of others. I love that examples of our children’s specific greatness are suggested for each game (enthusiasm, kindness, co-operation, respectfulness, determination, patience...) I love that numerous examples of how to give recognitions and use 'resets' are provided at the end of each type of game. I love that there is a whole section for greatness games. Therefore, I have to accuse the authors of not only diving into A Pool of Greatness but revelling in their time in there. I can hear someone yelling ‘come out of that pool now, that’s long enough’ and the revellers submerge and hold their breath until the yeller has given up and walked away. I love the emphasis on recognising our children managing stress that arises during play. I love that play is brought back to fearlessness at the end of the book. What power we can give our children when they know their own greatness. Love it. Love it.
