This is a great light. Purchase it with no regrets. Now about the post. Loews wanted 98.00 for a 10ft pipe. The solution is buy 3 10ft pvc pipes for 24.00. Then split one in half. Glue and screw one half on the back side of the pipe for added support using clamps and pvc glue. Also you can add screws. I used a coupler to make my light pole 16ft. Very easy project. You can also purchase a toilet pvc flange to use as a base to screw the base to a wooden pole. Pole and light is light enough to make it a one man job. I screwed the bottom clamp on the wooden base then put the pvc pole in the very bottom clamp and walked the pole up and secured the pole with a ratchet strap, which allowed me the level the pcv pole. Then added the additional clamps. This is a money saving solution that will allow you to purchase more great lights. You can also pour small rock concrete inside the pole if you wish. I'm keeping mine hollow to keep it light, so I can take it down for hurricains. This light is great, lights up a large area by my gate and street. Its 16 ft high and has 4 power settings plus motion sensor if you wish. Also my pvc pole solution will never rust and will always look great. I'm also adding 2 security cameras to my light pole.The light is heavy duty, remote works great at the light beingv16ft high. No reason not to purchase one or more. You have the solution to a very inexpensive light pole that can accommodate any height needed. Also no additional electric cost. Every light outside my beach house is solar. Again it's a very easy project and using 2 inch pvc, you can purchase many diffrent items to mount it on you house or barn or wooden fence. Many diffrent options at the hardware store. Remember a pvc toilet flange can be used to secure your light pole.

Nice and bright but the motion sensor doesn’t work have tried several times but to no avail

I love the ease of installation. It is very bright when it detects motion and perfect when not at 30%. I have mine about 22' off the ground and the motion detector works great.

Overall the appearance of this parking lot area light is really nice. The main body of the light is really solid and made of aluminum. The bronze finish appears to be powder coated - it could be painted - but either way it appears to be really well done. Mounting the light is accomplished by slipping it onto a round pole/conduit with 4 hex bolts to firmly secure it in place. The head pivots up and down so that you can get light where you need it. The light is powered by line voltage - just wire nut the pigtail to your house wiring and you are good to go. The light includes a photocell so that it turns off automatically during daylight which is a nice feature in case someone leave the light on. Using mine to light an area between the house and the barn that is about 120 ft away. It is primarily a parking area. It gets so dark up here and it is really nice to have some light so you can see when you are walking out to the bard of for guests who appreciate the added light when getting their vehicles turned around.

We installed this light on a 4x4 pole instead of using a metal pole because it was just easier for us. The light does come with everything else needed to mount the light. We didn't want to mount it on our house, so the weather-treated pole with concrete in the hole around the base was ideal. We didn't want to add another outdoor plug for a yard light, so the solar light was a great idea to have a light for security on this very dark corner of our house. It was so dark at night, and it made me feel uneasy. The light comes with a remote, but we just set it to the dawn til dusk setting, and it works great. We placed it in a location so the solar panels would get direct sunglight for most of the day. The brightness of the light and the free power from the sun is ideal! As long as we have sun, we have security at night! I would highly recommend this light for saving money by not using electricity and for adding security by using a light source around your home. It's a win-win. Peace of mind is everything!
