Having had my mk4 2007 mondeo for several years, I decided to try to modernise it. So after some research I bought the xtron android 12 head unit. The unit itself I find to be quite fast and has many features, Bluetooth, gps, photos, YouTube, the list goes on. The sound is of great quality too and has a program whereby you can adjust the graphic equaliser or pre set the base you can also link in an iPhone and play music via Bluetooth plus use the phones internet to use google, YouTube. etc. So the not so good points, it’s advertised as plug and play, this is not quite true ( for some of the fords). The unit is double din however you still need to hard wire in the ac supply, earth and also the handbrake wire ( of simply earth it out so the video will play when cars in motion). Another down side and maybe it’s just with an iPhone, but you have to manually upload photos, music and videos via a usb, and can’t just wirelessly share it to the head unit. This is the first modern head unit I’ve owned this and I’d give it a 90/100 all day.

Couple of issues on installation. First of all it blew the car audio battery 15A fuse as wehn it wasn't powering in, I put the old unit in and that was dead too. After fitting a new 15A fuse (could see the old one had clearly blown) the unit still wouldn't power on, was about to request an RMA as is appeared to be DOA.Then I tried adding the decoder box (That had a label on it that it was clearly for the Mondeo only and I had a Focus). The unit then powered on. So for the amount of time wasted on install and the blown fuse is why I've knocked a star off.Once it was weorking, everything seemes fine, bluetooth, wi-fi etc all work. The beeping on every option/button press was annoying but easily enough disabled in settings. Looking forward to using it some more.I have yet to attach the GPS antenna, leaving that until I have time to plumb it all in behind the dash, but if I have any issues with it, I'll update the review.

It installed easy but. Yes a but!! The menu started super slow it started speeding up but was still clunky. I brought this for andriod auto and it was the worst experience I've had with any stereo. It was so slow it didn't work and then worked the buttons just stopped working until I restarted the car. Half the time it kept flashing of android Auto until I plugged it back in. I had it looked at with halfords and there conclusion was its installed correctly and the stereo is just slow. Personally it needs upgrading a new andriod version. It's not worth the money you can buy cheaper and get the same experience

This is a really good looking stereo but thats it I got mine in black I have been testing it for a for about 7 months, its doesn't always connect to the phone, its really slow, it as alsready got a full line of pixels missing, internet connection is rubish, I used a memory card and it doesn't accept it, it took me two days to download google maps, I'm now looking for a diferent option stereo like pioneer, sony, I don't know, this is a waste of time and money, also the reverving camera went from bad and having to adjust it all the time to black and white and supper grainy, I know its a cheep unit but I have seen some of them going for alot more money than this, and in that case I would rather just get a better unit all toguether.

Very easy to install and setup and with all applications working properly. Great purchase which I would recommend highly.
