Remington Pro sensor technology flat iron Type: S8598

I've had this for almost 4 years now and it is still going strong! It heats up crazy fast and works magic in getting my curly hair nice and straight with minimal effort. I can't say enough great things about this especially given how long I have owned it for. I love the rubber/silicone protective sheath - when I am done using I just throw that on knowing it is protecting the extreme heat from doing any damage once I step away. HIGHLY Recommend!!!!

I have used all different types of flat irons but have had one for the past few years that cost about $100 from PYT and I've liked it. I decided to get this one from the description of less damage and the price. So far I really like it. It left my hair shiny and with a healthy feeling. It doesn't seem to get as hot as my other one even though it says 450. I've only used it once so I will update this if I have anything different to say.

I am going to try to add some picturesI really wanted this to be the great go-to tool for me, and while it does stand up to all the good reviews. Let me explain. I bought this along with the Conair Infinity Pro, to see which one I liked best and could give me that salon-quality result at home. I am African American and do not have a perm, I do not know how to classify my hair but it is dense and not easy to manage. So I washed and conditioned, blow-dried it and ran a hot comb through it roughly to help out. I parted my hair down the middle and used this flat iron on one side and the Conair on the other side. I started with this one and on the first pass it came out good, I used the settings in the instructions which said based on my grade of hair should be between 410-450. I started at 410. Not only do I want straight I also wear tight curls so that helps me keep the style, so the ability to curl my hair is the other major factor for me. Here is where they lost me. My hair kept snagging at the end. So this made me stop using this flat iron.Even when I raised the heat up the first pass did not equal the first pass with the Conair product.I rarely use my flat iron at home, because I go to the salon, but I travel for work and need a tool that can give me the same or close to the same quality as if I were at home.I am going to keep it, I think normally this would be going back for a refund.I received the item ahead of time, and the packing was good, and I felt that my product was protected well.Was it worth the money, I say yes. If it had been more I would say that I would not suggest you buy it. If you are willing to take a few passes and not worried about snagging then you would like it.I hope this helps, I am going to try to add some pictures.

I had a Remington before this it was a little broken from the time that I got it I had to keep on pressing the on button and then eventually after 15 minutes or something it would turn on and stay on but this one I love this one it gives you the temperature you can turn it down you can turn it up it takes a second or two to heat up it's great I love this one it is my favorite flat iron

I had a Remington flat iron before that I really liked and lasted me several years, I wanted to purchase the same one but couldn't find it so I decided to try a different brand and definitely regretted it. I bought this one after that and it's even better than the Remington I had before. I absolutely love Remington, it leaves your hair silky smooth, shiny, no frizz and it lasts for several days. It's easy to use and lasts a long time.

I normally don't write reviews but I had to for this item. I have gone through many different types/brands of straightener and this is the winner for me. I straighten my hair on a daily bases and this brand has yet to fry my hair like the others (been using for a couple months). Not only that it heats up within seconds, it also automatically adjust to the right temperature for your hair! It's a tech straightener and very inexpensive! Definitely recommend 100%!

I'm hair ignorant but straightened my hair without frizzing it horribly. I even made some spiral curls on the front with it. I doubt it actually has oil in it since there's no place to put more in, but... it seems good. I don't know what temp setting my hair should have but using their setting with the heat sensor it comes out looking good. I did not have that experience with my prior flat iron.
