Only Works with the PBA batteries
Both of the batteries fit the Bosch home and Garden range, but the earlier type (shown on the left) is not suitable for use with this device. The reason is that there is a guiding spike on the earlier battery which prevents the device from sliding on to the contacts, forcing it will cause it to jam and then be very difficult to remove (I found out the hard way). The light is good and the voltage on the USB chatging ports is correct - this is a useful accessory. As mentioned by one of the German commenters, the device can drain the battery to very low voltages (which is normally prevented to avoid damage to the battery) and so it is best used intermittently as required.I measured the current drain and without lights it is 15mA and with lights it is 56 and 97 mA. The 15mA is sufficient to completely discharge a 2.5Ah battery in a week - hence best to disconnect when not needed. The 97mA suggests the light will work for about 24 hours with a 2.5Ah battery.

A handy device
Really useful to add to your kit if you have this type of Bosch battery. It gives a USB output for phone charging, a handy flashlight and belt clip, also a mini jack type 12v output which allows you to connect and run other devices from your battery source. We used this to connect a led strip light for additional lights on a Christmas makers market stall which was very useful. If used with genuine Bosch batteries, they have their own battery protection which shuts them down at a safe voltage to avoid battery damage, so no worries there, the light just goes out indicating the need to recharge. Some reviews suggest that the battery adapter was to blame for killing a battery beyond recharging. We did not find this to be an issue, but just be aware of the possibility to avoid problems, otherwise we recommend this item

Doesn’t work
Charged and worked for a minute. Was difficult to fit into our Bosch drill battery and I haven’t been able to remove it yet - stuck on there! Either connection was lost or it’s eaten up the charge because it wouldn’t charge my phone the next day.

Works correctly and seems good value
I already own a number of power tools that use the Bosch PBA 18v battery system, and plenty of spare batteries for them. So I ordered this little gadget for phone charging and other outdoor device power purposes...The product came in a generic cardboard package with no instructions or other information included. It appears to be made of moulded ABS plastic. There are no recycling markers applied. In use, the adapter is a good fit to standard Bosch batteries (see photo), the locking hook is properly engaged when fitted so no danger of the battery slipping off the adapter rails while in use. Build quality appears to be adequate, all connectors fit applied cables properly, with no slop or looseness. A handy work light appears at the rear of the adapter. There are three output ports, none labelled. A standard USB “A” port showed good voltage and current stability when tested. The product page claims over-voltage and current limit protection, this was not verified. The USB “C” port was checked for PDA18W compatibility using my own test equipment, which showed that fast phone charging is an option, as claimed. The third output is a 5.5*2.1mm connector socket. This is completely unlabelled as to polarity (or anything else). My testing found that it produces a nominal 12 volts DC, and that the center pin is negative.CONCLUSION: This is a basic device, cheap and cheerful, BUT it needs to be used with care. The only battery terminals connected are the 18v power tabs – so there is no logic in the adapter itself which is monitoring data such as battery condition and temperature. I would not use this device in any application that might draw high current, or that could run the attached battery completely flat. (Which would damage it beyond repair.)

No auto power off when battery voltage drops !!
Caution as this product is not a “smart” product and will not stop charging your phone etc if the Bosch battery voltage drops too low, and will therefore completely flatten your Bosch battery so far that your smart charger will not be able to recognise and recharge the Bosch battery leaving your battery dead and unusable.

Funktioniert tadellos.
A. Anschluss gesteckt.

Besser 5V Powerbank kaufen.
