T-H 5 Degre Positive Tuck Transom Wedge (1 Pair) (TW-2-DP)

Great product. Installed on a Carolina Skiff J16 with a Yamaha 40hp four stroke. We upgraded to a larger motor last year. Went from a tiller 25hp to a 40 with a center console. Honestly, we were a little scared because the 25 ran fine but it was slow. Put the 40 on and the porposing was pretty bad over 22mph. Lots of people suggested trim tabs, but they are delicate on smaller boats and care must be taken when beaching the boat. Trim tabs will also add drag to the boat and slow it down a little. The problem is not having the motor tucked under the boat enough. The "J" series of Carolina Skiffs are known to have a very vertical transom. These transom wedges are the perfect solution! The bow now rides firmly planted for great control and safety and the motor can even be trimmed up a bit once on plane. The boat is now zipping along at 34mph with two people and gear! Casting is pretty rough, seems like no finish machining

These wedges were reccomended to my buy a friend who builds boat, to help my boat plane out faster. He was not wrong. I noticed an immediate difference in performance of the boat, and I would absolutely reccomend these to anyone running an outboard jet on their flat bottom boat. Easy to install, took about 15 minutes with two of us, but one person could install by them self with minor difficulties. Good solid construction, bolt holes line up perfect. All around a great product. Possibly the best upgrade ive done to my boat yet, definitely not disappointed with my purchase.

Worked great for my situation, my 21 ft. aluminum plate boat was built without enough angle on the transom, the wedges made it just right and were easy to install.

Works as intended however started corroding very quickly, they’d probably last a long time even in salt but I’ve had aluminum jack plates that stayed nice and shiny compared to the corrosion this thing had after 2 months on the boat

Excellent quality wedges!

The package arrived on time and the part fit perfectly on my 2002 Yamaha 90HP 2 stroke. It was very easy to replace. I fish in salt water lets see how it holds down the line.

I wouldn’t have sent them out looking the way they do. That’s just personal preference though. The castings were a bit rough. However, the holes all lined up and my boat jumps on plane now. If you need some tuck, don’t hesitate to order these.

Exactly what I ordered, I am using these to level my Fortrex on my Triton bass boat, they work like a charm!!!
