I can't get enough of this brand of sleep mask. I started wearing one about 7 years ago when we lived in a very bright place that you couldn't get blackout shades for (at the time). I tried a few different brands but landed on this one because it was so plush and easy to launder. It's adjustable strap works for all sizes and I like that it has an extra layer of plush at the bottom on the inside so it blocks light that might come in from the bottom of the mask. I owned the same one for all 7 years and the headband started to get a little stretched out and putting in the dryer no longer fixed it. As luck/unluck would have it, that one was stolen with my luggage on a recent trip, which is why I bought this new one. It's just as good and I'm sure it will last another 7 years.

I've used this item for about 10 days now and LOVE IT, even if it did not come with the earplugs in the box or bag. I too was skeptical after reading the reviews from a few sites - and with only 9 Amazon reviews, I figured it was jun. Then I figured there are worse things I have spent $22 on.I changed nothing in my sleep routine except to add the mask. Fell asleep much faster and the birds singing (windows open now since it is nice outside), school buses coming and going, and dogs barking did not wake me cause I didn't "hear" the noise. Even the noisy weed whacker my neighbor uses didn't wake me - it came through as background noise. As for the Velcro straps on the sides...no problem at all and the elastic is just right. No issues breathing and my eyesight was not "fuzzy" after wearing it for several hours. Minimal to no adjusting after changing position, I sleep on my side and back.Takes a few times wearing it to find where your "sweet spot" is, the place on your head where the strap will hold the mask in place without discomfort. Washing the mask for the first time today - I will update after wearing it post wash a few days - I expect no change.

The sleep masks(I bought two) are well-padded so there is no pressure on the eyeballs and it is easy to breathe. They are effective at keeping light out. The fabric looks silky but the fluffy cotton backing quickly attracts dust and hair. Worst fault is the tie holding the mask on the head with velcro tabs. It is thin, unpleasant to touch and too small for most women (with hair). I shall have to insert extra material (or wear a scarf through the tie loops). The mocha colour is nondescript but the sage is okay. They are poorer quality than the sage and blue velvet, satin-backed, lavender-filled masks bought from this manufacturer in 2005. One mask was delivered by courier, the other took a month to arrive by post. This pack contained no spongy earphones.

I have tried a few eye masks and they are always so uncomfortable. Not this brand. Even though it may slip up, as they all do, this one is comfortable. It has an extra cushion at the bottom so it won't press up against your eyes. The strap stretches for the size of your head. It totally blocks out light. It also washes really well and doesn't lose it's shape or color. Thank you Dream Essentials... This is my 3rd pair.

I bought this for my 13 year old son, who has cancer and is spending every other week in the hospital having chemotherapy. I did quite a bit of research before purchasing this particular mask. Here are the reasons he loves it: 1. It has a "ledge" underneath his eyes so that light doesn't leak in under the eyes, and it actually does what it is supposed to do- blocks the light; 2. the headstrap is wide and soft, going across the back of his head; 3. the velcro of the headstrap attaches on the SIDE of the mask, near the ear and does NOT touch his head. This is important because he has lost his hair from chemo, and I didn't want the velcro to scrape his head. 4. The mask is very adjustable and fits his head well. He is not an adult and needed a mask that would fit his smaller head. But he is not a "kid" and couldn't wear a kid's mask either. He LOVES this mask, and it enables him to sleep during the day or at night when I am up working on things in our hospital room. Worth the money.
