Excellent book for beginning watercolor artists
This is the best book I have found for painting wildflowers. The author explains exactly how to hold the brush and what to do to make beautiful strokes on your paper. If you are a beginning watercolor artist, you cannot go wrong by purchasing this beautiful book.

Beautiful!
This is a lovely book and it's great for learning how to paint flowers. However, I cannot hold the book open and hold a paint brush and learn to paint all at the same time. I wanted to give it 5 stars, but a spiral binding would have been the best choice for an art book about painting. A spiral binding would make it more useable. A spiral binding would allow it to lay flat so I could look at it and paint. I am thinking about taking it to a print shop and having the binding cut off and put a spiral binding on, but that costs more money. ugh.

Beautiful and accessible watercolor book!
This is a great, easy to use guide to painting a variety of wildflowers using watercolors. I’ve only tried a couple so far but this book definitely made it easy! I’m looking forward to spending more time with it and trying some of the other flowers soon.

Highly recommend.
Highly recommend. I have quite a few watercolor books now. I think this one applies to more than just painting flowers. The author does a really great job of talking about how to use watercolors and brushes. I really like the fact that she talks about how to use brush strokes. There's a ton of great detail in the beginning of the book. And then she breaks down flour by flower. It's a really great book. Even if you don't want to paint flowers, I think this is a great instructional book. If you do want to pay flowers, I think it's a must.

Beautiful, easy, fun watercolor guide.
I am a beginning watercolor painter who never enjoyed painting flowers until I used this book. I first saw the book promoted on the author's instagram feed where the loose style and clear bright vibrant colors drew me in immediately. I ordered the book thinking if I didn't like painting the flowers, at least it would be a wonderful wildflower reference book to own. I enjoyed painting the first flower so much, however, that I've decided to work my way through the entire book, painting one flower each day. What I like: I like that the flowers are not so detailed that, as a beginner, I would get bored painting many layers or frustrated with possibly muddying the colors. Most flowers require 3-4 colors with clear quick and easy mixing and consistency instructions, and it's easy to get the clear bright colors seen in the photographs. I also like that only a small portion of the book is used for the supplies and techniques, while most of the book is made up of actual flowers and instruction for that flower. I like that the author lists with each flower the page number where a relevant technique can be referenced, so it can be quickly reviewed before or during painting. The breakdown of instruction into clear well-organized numbered and illustrated steps makes painting these flowers easy and really fun. It will be so satisfying to watch my sketchbook fill up with these pretty flowers. As someone who didn't enjoy painting flowers, I'm glad I took a chance on this beautiful book. I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys watercolors.

Lindo e inspirador

perfect for beginners
A few weeks ago, I got another watercolor book, but I found it a bit too advanced for beginners. Even after following it for a week or two, I still felt unsure about how to start painting. So, I began looking for other options.I’ve always loved the artist’s style, and when I found this new book, it immediately stood out—it’s simple, detailed, and perfect for beginners. By just my second practice session, I already noticed a big improvement, especially in how I paint leaves. I really appreciate how clearly the content is laid out. It gave me practical ideas on how to practice, which is exactly what beginners need. I highly recommend it for anyone with zero watercolor experience.

The best watercolor book
I have been trying different courses and tutorials to learn how to do floral watercolors. Out of everything I have tried, this book is by far the best. It is so easy yet comprehensive and clear. I have been able to do beautiful paintings with the aid of this book, and I can feel myself growing more and more as an artist the more flowers I try from the book. The author's work is amazing and I thank her so much for putting this together.
