If you’re sure that no water will ever get on them, then don’t bother. Otherwise, they’re cheap insurance. **Q: Will this help with harshness and shrill treble ?** A: It will help give resonance to your speakers. Maybe look at adjusting your equalizer and cutting some highs out.
