Weiman High-Traffic Hardwood Floor Polish and Restorer - Natural Shine, Removes Scratches, Leaves Protective Layer 32 fl. oz

Recently I got a serious bee in my bonnet about cleaning my dark wood floors to a brilliant SHINE. It's been 4 years since I moved in but I don't have ANY carpeting aside from a small welcome mat by the front door. SO...my floors are out & proud 24/7. On top of that, my house is not a "take off your shoes house," I have 2 small rescue chihuahuas tap-tap-tapping across the floor), I dog sit OFTEN...and I walk through the house weekly with an ocean salt & sand kissed surfboard & wet-dry bag. I mean, I know I'm pretty rough on those floors (sorry, floors). Over the past few weeks, I've read some reviews and tried a few different products. My usual go-to, Murphy's Oil soap, wasn't really cutting it. I've never been WOWED by BONA...not only is that stuff expensive, but it just doesn't last and, honestly, I don't think it creates much shine at all. I tried to make my own natural cleaner (e.g. some mixture of olive oil, lemon juice, a little bit of tea-tree oil, blah blah blah) and I found that was "OK" but seemed to leave the floor feeling a bit greasy. I was afraid to use the other products on the market that require you to know the type of finish your floor has (sorry, I have no idea and I'm not about to involve my landlord in this endeavor - just not worth it). Further, these cleaners require you to clear your house of everything you own, clean your floors, apply the product, and wait HOURS for it to dry, then some require you to buff it afterwards, etc. etc...Aint nobody got time for that! PLUS, if I had to put up with dog paws or a footprint in my finish until I had them professionally "fixed" I'd go insane...my OCD is already ramped up...so I needed something that I wasn't sincerely afraid would RUIN my floors. That's when I found this WEIMAN stuff where you squirt, mop, and go. You just let the floor dry for 30 minutes and you're done! And just look at my photos - you get a NOTICEABLE SHINE (first photo is with WEIMAN shine & the second one with the dogs is what it looked like beforehand). It's not sticky. It's easy & quick. I happened to use 2 coats. I waited 24 hours between cleanings, myself. I first vacuumed, then I cleaned my floor with a water & vinegar mix, then I made sure the floor was totally dry. Afterwards, I tried out the product in a small space and felt confident my floors would drink it up nicely. PEOPLE: DO NOT DUMP A PRODUCT LIKE THIS ON THE MIDDLE OF YOUR FLOOR THEN COMPLAIN TO THE COMPANY WHEN YOU HAVE TO REFINISH YOUR FLOOR! I mean, just try it out in a test spot first. I am glad I did this, because there are 2 spots in my house where I have pergo flooring, and this did not work the same way as on my wood floors. I used it on the test spots, but it left the floors dull & cloudy until I buffed it. After I buffed it, it was fine, but I repeat: Ain't nobody got time for that! Anyway, the first time I used this product, I used 2 microfiber clothes, got down on my hands and knees, and waxed on-waxed off. It looked great in 30 minutes time...I was honestly happy with it, but the bottle said you could get MORE shine if you did it up 2x. So, 24 hours later I decided to do it again. The second time around I just squirted it on the floor as the bottle instructs and used a dry mop. It was quick & man, look at the pics...it's SHINY! YAY! FINALLY! I LOVE IT! Now, I've just done this a day ago, so I can't attest to how long the shine lasts. ALSO, I'd say I have two LARGE rooms (living room, entry way/dining room, and 2 smaller adjoining hallways)...and I used the entire bottle for the 2 coats. I was pretty liberal...but I had read another review that said to be liberal and I feel it didn't HURT so...I just kept at it. and, HUZZAH! Perfection! It's so dumb how happy my shiny floors make me but...Whatever, I love them! CLEAN ALL THE THINGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Should have taken pictures of the hardwood floors prior but I was in crunch mode. My apartment floors had old scratches and gauges with caked in dirt and just lackluster floors when I moved in. After 2 years they were still sad looking. For move out I was convinced I was going to loose part of my deposit. I cleaned some areas a bit much and lightened areas, we had some indents from the foam mandatory floor protectors and we had ckeaned up some messes and painters tape took a section of the varnish up. Granted they are oldrer renter floors this stuff was amazing!!! I swept all corners, baseboards then vacuumed , then steamed the floors and vacuumed again. Clean and dust free - then with a dolar store foam mop I started in 1 area and apied and spread it out. Immediately the floor looked better and shine came to it. I tried to go with the grain of the floor for less streaking. Did 2 coats and by thr time it dried it looked amazing. It helped seal tiny lines, made even those old dark gouches look less, my over cleaning areas didn’t look so bad, where the varnish was pulled up was almost unnoticeable and the foam pad indents didn’t look so noticeable. It was bright sunny am when we did the walk out and they were impressed on how immaculate everything looked. Floor didn’t even come up as an issue. If I’d have known how awesome this helped bring back life to a floor that needs refinishing I”d gotten it sooner and used more often. It would have helped protect the floor while I was living there. Game and life changer. Video is fast and close for details for move out records. But the doorway was where a hug 3x4 inch of varnish was pulled up and it was barely noticeable. Unnoticeable to unknown eyes.

We came home from a week long vacation to find that the pet sitter didn't clean up after the cats when they decided that the baby playpen was THE spot to use for a litter box.. the cat pee ate through the varnish in several places.. I thought I was going to have to sand the floors.. I spent 2 days scrubbing, conditioning and waxing our floors TRYING to avoid that headache.. 3 coats of this on top of a heavy wood conditioning treatment and the wood is looking MUCH better. Time will only tell if 3 coats of floor wax will keep the pets from re-soiling the floor but in the meantime the floors are muchly improved. Good product, easy to apply, I just used a swiffer and their dry mop cloths to spread it thinly and evenly. 60-90 min between coats. No more than 3 coats in a 24 hour period. I need another bottle but not having to sand my floors and refinish them? I can spring for more floor wax. Going to top with a full buff out of trewax paste wax.

This is a very good product. Not great, but very good. My hardwood floors were three years old and had never been waxed since they were installed. They looked really dull, but I didn't know anything about how to wax a floor, and I didn't want to spend hundreds of dollars to have them professionally waxed, so I did nothing. Finally I saw a TV commercial for this product and decided to give it a try. I was nervous because I thought waxing would require a degree of skill (like painting with old-fashioned oil-based wall paints). Well, this is the modern latex paint of floor wax. It could not have been easier to apply. I moved all my furniture and rugs and then dampened a clean (new) sponge mop in my kitchen sink. I then squirted the wax in a z pattern on a small portion of my floor and waxed away. I was surprised how light and thin the product was. It was like moping with skim-milk colored water. At first, I worried about not bumping the waxy mop head into walls and cabinets, but oddly but nicely, it seemed to only wax the floors, so I stopped fusing and picked up the pace. It took very little time to wax 600 square feet of floor. It also took very little time for the wax to dry. I only intended to apply one coat, but it was so fast and easy that I applied a second coat. In less than the promised 30 minutes, the floors were dry. That amazed me. I put my main floor back together in time to still go grocery shopping and run errands. I had budgeted my time to spend the entire Saturday waxing. The floors looked better than brand new, with a very high luster and shine. Finally, clean-up was a breeze. I just rinsed the mop as I normally would, and put it away. The next time I used it, it was fine -- no wax build-up. And my sink was fine too. All it needed was a rinse with the faucet hose. That's the good news. The not-so-great news is that it didn't really last. About three months later, I noticed the beautiful luster was gone. At first, I was disheartened. I thought I would get at least get a year out of the wax job, and I didn't want to have to devote half of a Saturday every three months to floor maintenance. Then it occurred to me that I could just "touch up" my wax job by waxing the exposed floor without moving major furniture and rugs (and without cleaning out the floor space in closets). Instead, I moved my dining room chairs (not the table), kitchen island bar stools and some decorative pots, and went to work. I was all done in half an hour, and every inch of floor that I can see and walk on looks great again. That much effort I can handle on a quarterly basis. I have never used another floor wax so I can't compare this to anything, but I am definitely very satisfied. It's also very affordable, as a little goes a long way. I just re-ordered the product.

I ordered this product to try more because my wood floors were feeling tacky after mopping no matter what method or solution I tried. We don’t wear shoes in our house ever, I mop twice a week at least and really care about my floors being super clean so it was really bothering me. They were moderately shiny still, but I hated that sticky feeling even though they were clean. I followed the instructions & applied two coats after a good mopping last night after my family was in bed and it worked SO well. The floors are SO glossy, hid some degree of the old scratches but most importantly to me, they now feel great- perfectly almost slippery clean and not sticky at all. Was easy to apply & didn’t take too long to apply. Would 100% recommend & use again. Only thing to be careful of is getting on other surfaces, I set the bottle on my dining room table and kitchen counter as I was applying and didn’t realize it had dripped a bit so there are a few odd shiny spots on those- hoping I can get it off but my fault, not the product’s.

Shines the floor for a long time

Mon plancher de frêne était devenu mat avec les années. Je voulais un lustre qui donne l’apparence d’un vernis brillant et c’est exactement ce que ce produit a fait. En plus, c’est facile à appliquer avec une vadrouille un peu humide. J’ai donné deux couches et c’est superbe en plus d’être résistant. J’ai lavé le plancher avec le nettoyant de même marque avant d’appliquer ce lustre. Ça donne réellement un bel effet. Comme un vernis lustré.

Una maravilla de producto. Solo que tienes que saber extenderlo bien porque a la hora de secado te pueden quedar las marcas. Para que te hagas una idea tienes como cuando pintas una pared y no se note la pasada de los rodillos. Friegas el suelo espera que se seque y luego esparce un poco de líquido por la zona y con la mopa repartes hasta esperar que se seque, no pises antes porque marcarán la huella. Yo le doy con una mopa solo para ese producto no la uso para nada más. Muy contento.

Didn't hold out much hope for my neglected hard wood floors that were well overdue a makeover. With no time or the inclination to rub down and retreat the whole ground floor of my house I bought this product with a 'lets give it a go' attitude. I hoovered throughout, steam cleaned - I have 2 dogs. Let it dry. Then simply sprinkled in a zag zag fashion across the floor and with a clean, dry mop - the kind with a pad on not a mop head type - and just spread it around in an even fashion. Its that easy. I found with doors and window open it dried pretty quick - in my case 20 minutes. I paid particular attention to the dining room where the chairs had pretty much rubbed away the sheen from the floor and we were down to bare wood. I was so lazy and didnt hold out much hope for the product I even went around the dogs beds and rugs - LOL - I have to say for the effort and the price I was REALLY impressed it brought the floor tones back to life and I have a lovely clean even sheen throughout - the sad dining room floor was majorly improved, so much so I'm not going to bother with the hard floor all out treatment thing now. Fine scratches from dog nails were reduced in appearance the bigger ones like under the dining room chairs were a little less visible but not much improvement - tbf these probably needed rubbing down (if you can be bothered). I am so impressed I am planning a second go next weekend as I have become slightly obsessed with how nice it looks. Bottle says second/third coat will give you more sheen. I also know its worth moving the furniture and not just go around it!! A point to make I noticed where the bottle dripped on my kitchen counter top it left like a clear nail varnish mark so I would advice that you protect the bottom of the bottle when and wherever you put it down - I did however just remove this with a plastic butter knife so no major crisis - it did make me think that the light sheen on your floors also acts as a barrier for spills and stains and that can only be a good thing on your floors. :-) Very happy - Still have half a bottle left if not more - I am ordering a second bottle for the cupboard as I now never want to be without!!
