Nice capsule to go along with the F1. Makes for a nice small compact audio recorder. Great for picking up 2 people side by side. Zoom good audio recording capability.

Nice unt works very well with my zoom h5' This unit is very powerful In terms of ability. I enjoy the ability to change the mic in range via front,side and rear.

My main capsule now. If find the mid side stereo image more immersive than the xy stereo capsule.

Great product for my H5

Sound quality not quite as good as the X/Y arrays but the raw MS mode is very useful and it's easier to protect from wind if you're out doors.

Put this capsule on your Zoom recorder, turn OFF the side sound of the mic. Leave the knob on 3 or 4 for gain. Find a good place to record, put some blankets, pillows and put a quilt over your head to avoid the reflections behind you and the mic. Hit RECORD. You can get absolutely gorgeous results while recording Voice Overs when you're away from your home studio. Use a few sound plugins like Waves Clarity and Izotope RX to remove background noise and edit clicks. No one can tell if you're working from a Hotel Room or from your lovely booth.

First off let me say this is not a bad microphone. It's good. BUT here is the only complaint I have with it. It sounds literally no different than the mic that comes with the Zoom H5 thus making this microphone completely useless and a waste of money. As a matter of fact, it sounded even very slightly worse than the mic that comes with the Zoom H5.Now please note, I bought this with the sole intention of recording vocals for a podcast or audio commentary. That's all. I don't know how it compares to recording other sounds.Don't buy it thinking it will give you any better sound (for vocals/podcasting/audio commentary) than the stock mic that comes with the Zoom H5. Both sound the same.

Overal not a bad mic if you are interested only in middle recording, but when it comes to Mid/Side recording the more of the side you introduce to the recording the more amp noise you get. I tried it with Zoom H5 recorder and if you can keep gain on the lowest setting most likely you would be able to get a decent Mid/Side ON record out of it. To get good result even on a higher gain levels stick with Mid/Side Off settings.
