    Wonderful book; riveting story line with an honest look at Type 1 Diabetes.  Diabetes 1 is tough, it is a disease that requires diligence 24/7/365. This book reveals a refreshingly honest view of the diligence required to master this disease.  Unfortunately it is possible to refuse or ignore the demands of diabetes, but in doing so, the author makes clear, you yoke yourself to a far more severe master.  This book also gives a frighteningly honest view of the dark and heinous world of illegal drug use.  This book provides a much needed exposure to the truth that some of us would rather not see.
