Topps 1987 Baseball Wax Pack Trading Card Box (36 Packs) Possible Rookie Cards Including Barry Bonds, Rafael Palmeiro and Barry Larkin

Worth the money. Cards were in great shape. A little wax on the card closest to the seal. Got 16 of the 30 top valued cards in that year’s set. Wanted to see if I could get a Bo rookie, but didn’t. Got 2 Barry Bonds instead so a win. Cal, Schmidt, Rickey Henderson, Sandburg, Gwynn, Dawson, Strawberry, Palimero, Brett, Yount, Puckett and more.

I ordered this box as a reward (for myself) for staying home and potty training my daughter while my wife went out of town on a business trip. I know, fun times! Anyway, I was so excited when this box arrived! I haven't collected cards in nearly 30 years. As I eagerly opened each pack, I was transported to my childhood. I know these cards aren't worth much anymore, but the value is more in tapping into that feeling of being 8 years-old again and finding some of my favorite baseball players. Sure there was some damage on the cards from the gum that was stuck to them and some damage where the packs sealed. Not sure if these were searched and glued back together, but every card on the sealed side had some kind of damage to the back of them (glue or wax stuck to the back of the card). While I had my heart set on finding a Barry Bonds, it did not happen. I did manage to pull a Mark McGwire, Bo Jackson, Barry Larkin, Bobby Bonilla, Wally Joyner, and Will Clark along with a wide variety of my favorite players from that time. These cards aren't so much an investment as they are a time machine. For that, $25 is a fair price.

Actual box came with the original factory cellophane missing, first red flag… then after opening every pack I went back through and to my surprise only got a handful of rookie cards… 2nd red flag …. Everything screams this box and its contents were tampered with… don’t recommend

It was one of my best 1987 boxes I've opened in awhile. A lot of Rookies. I give it an " A".

Unfortunately, I lost 1-2 cards in the box to gum absorbing mositure, transferring it to the cards and bloating. It was still fun to open, and most cards were in great shape, but had McGwire and Larkin rookies both severely water damaged. Not every box will necessarily be like this, but it is a risk to be aware of.

I was hesitant to buy this box. I honestly thought it was going to be a scam, cause a lot of these shady sellers reseal the packs after pulling the good cards. All I wanted (since I was a kid) was a Barry Bonds rookie card from this set and I got much more! The Bo jackson rookie card was the cherry on top! I wish they never packed gum with these cards back then because a few of the cards I pulled were damaged WELL WORTH THE MONEY I SPENT!!!

There might have been bad reviews for this. But my review will be a positive one! We got some decent rookies: Barry Bonds, Mark McGwire, Bo Jackson to name a few!
