I've ordered this potting mix several times now & have always been pleased with it. My plants like it & it's reasonably priced. Another brand I ordered on Amazon a couple years ago turned out to have gnats or gnat eggs. it was a real problem for a while, as it took several months to get rid of the gnats.

Well I have no way of testing to see if this is organic but it is a trusted brand. I'm using it for holy basil (Thai spicy Basil) stems that I had initially placed in water for root offshoot. They seem to like this soil and are prospering well. My first order was misdirected by the USPS typical for this branch of disorganization. I got the second package

Was exactly what I wanted! Walmart sadly stopped stocking them at my location and I was desperate - so I ordered this last minute! Works great, will forever use this brand for any type of plants I’d like. I do have to say though it was very difficult getting the water to be absorbed through the soil. It made my plans dry out quicker due to that. However I fixed it by drenching it with water and mixing it then filtering it back into the pot. Was great after that!

This Espoma potting mix is a great option for those looking for a non-fertilized soil option. I needed a soil that wasn't Miracle-Gro as that seems like the only product sold at Home Depot. I've found Miracle-Gro to be full of mold, or bugs, in more than a few bags, so I only use Espoma at this point. This soil looks "clean", and feels as natural as soil can feel. It works great for regular house plants; all the plants that I have potted with this are doing well and looking healthy. Don't forget to have a drainage hole on your planters, otherwise your plants could easily be over-watered. This soil can also be used for terrariums. For any enclosed terrariums I would recommend mixing it with their Espoma 4-Quart Organic Cactus Mix , for a more airy mixture (in a 2:1 cactus/potting soil ratio), that will help with airflow and a self-sustaining water cycle. Espoma has multiple sizes for this product: • Espoma 4-Quart Organic Potting Mix • Espoma 8-Quart Organic Potting Mix • Espoma 16-Quart Organic Potting Mix (this product) • Espoma 2 Cubic Feet Organic Potting Mix I ended up buying this several times as this can be used up pretty quickly. This soil has been good for our plants and they have done well after repotting EXCEPT the soil must have been full of gnat eggs as every plant we used this soil for is invested with them. I guess its not totally unbelievable as organic soils fon't have any pesticides but theve become such a horrendous issue even with all the preventative maintenance we've done that we now have to repot almost 2 dozen plants AGAIN. I wont be buying this brand again

this stuff is Awesome. Only place i can find to buy in my area is through amazon which is fine. i received it in a box so bag came with no holes. Love its make up and fluff. Pleasure to plant with it!!!
