Birthday present for my wife who does a lot of woodworking

Personally, I would like the shield to be larger, maybe twice as wide, and two to three times longer, and the flex arm to be maybe twice as long. The concept is great, but with the longer flex arm and bigger shield, it would be even greater.

Works as intended but would be more beneficial if curved to deflect shavings downward.

Does what it is supposed to do.

Trying to upgrade my lathe and make it much better. This is an awesome addition to it.
