Had a pesky problem with "screen scramble" after KVM switching. After much research I finally stumbled on this device as a possible solution - and it sure was! Even with a intervening adapter cable - as advertised! Not only that - the price was great!

When I first plugged it into my PC in line with my new 4K monitor, the PC detected it as a "Woieyeks 4K" monitor, but the device would not pass video through to my monitor. Then, after unplugging and plugging it back in, it only showed up as a generic 640x480 display, which DID pass through video but of course that is useless to me. The device now seems to be broken because no matter which PC or operating system I try it just shows up as a generic 640x480 display. Basically trash now.My use case is that I need something to prevent my PC from changing settings and shifting desktop icons around every time I switch off the actual 4K monitor I have. I previously used something called a 'monitor detect killer' but it is old and does not support the bandwidth for 4K 60Hz video.

I had issues with my Kubuntu 22.04 setup with a USB adapter. When I would switch the monitor inputs, or turn off my screen, switching back of turning back on would make the system go nuts. Putting these in-line, those issue have been pretty much resolved.

I have a cheap KVM with 2 macs sharing one monitor. This solved the problem of switching and EDID problems. Great solution.

As a poor man's KVM, I use two "KOOFIT HDMI Switch Splitters" to swap my monitors between 3 different computers, but my computers were shifting my windows around every time I switched.Now that I've placed 6 of these (2 monitors x 3 computers) on the input side of the switch, the computer acts normally and my windows stay where they were. No more flashing and flickering either. These are a miracle.

Bought this in an attempt to get the PS5 to output 1440/1080 120hz to my LG 1440p 144hz monitor. Unfortunately, the PS5 is still not happy and will not output the 120hz.Build quality is decent and it does output 4k 60hz or 1440p 120hz on my PC, just did not work for my use case.

Tried at 4k which is not only advertised, but listed as a supported resolution in Windows. It immediately went black, wouldn't work, showed a distorted image, and is now only showing that distorted image even though I am sending it a 1080p signal

This little device emulates a Display and allows your HDMI port to stay On without having to reseat the cable or cycle power to your external monitor every time you boot your laptop or PC. Uses the 5v on the port and produces a continuous EDID handshake. An HDMI port shuts off all together if it doesn't detect a display.

Me sirve para tener una maquina con Windows 10 conectada a una TV y poder entrar via remota (Anydesk o VNC) simulando que está prendida la TV (monitor). Sin esto la tarjeta de video deja de actualizar la imagen cuando se apaga el monitor/TV. Adicionalmente mantiene la resolución del monitor que conectaste para que los iconos del escritorio y las ventanas no anden brincando.

well made and reasonably priced but did not pass-through any signal at all ! Just a blank display. maybe it works okay in some instances but not for me. Cannot recommend this
