I bought these to replace the worn-out stays on my Sentry Safe, and they’ve made a huge difference. I was worried they might be too stiff or not fit the original mounting points, but they snapped right into place without any hassle. The 35lb tension feels just right—the lid stays open securely now without me having to worry about it slamming shut on my fingers, but it’s still easy enough to close. These struts work very nicely on my truck toolbox. They are easy to install and work great. I have needed these for quite sometime, so I have to get used to having them now. I love that now the lid to my box doesn’t come close to hitting the back of the cab anymore as well..

The slotted ball stud brackets are not stainless steel and bent under the pressure of the 40lb gas springs. The springs themselves are working normally so far.

Purchased these for a custom case project. Had them for over a year and so far no issues.
