As you know if you have ever had it, it is very painful. These socks are great and after wearing them for a couple of months the pain is gone. I wear them every day. They feel really great on my feet and if I don't wear them, the pain starts to come. I think they are cute and enjoy wearing them with my "flip flops."I wear size 7 1/2 ladies and ordered the small. They were too tight and felt uncomfortable. The company contacted me from my previous review and sent me a medium pair for free which fits perfectly.I have just ordered two more pairs. ### ⭐⭐ Seem to help, though don't expect miracles *by L***C on Reviewed in the United States on May 27, 2016* UPDATE: One week later, these are literally falling apart. There are threads popping out everywhere, and the tightness has decreased significantly. They feel very cheaply made.So after almost a decade working at a desk, transitioning to a job where I was on my feet nonstop for eight hours was a pretty painful adjustment for my feet to make. I got good shoes, picked up those Dr Scholls inserts from the little electronic kiosk on the advice of a coworker, and while they (and time) helped, I wanted to see if there was something that would make my dogs bark a little less at the end of the day. To wit, these socks: they work pretty good. I don't have planar fasciitis or anything, but wearing these means that I don't get occasional sharp pinches or stabs during long days and weeks. I ordered a large (I have big lady feets, clocking in at around 11 in most brands), and wide ones, and these seem to fit well... they're snug as you'd expect, but not uncomfortably so.I've worn them three days in a row now, and while my feet still ache at the end of the day, I only need a little while of relaxing before I'm back up again, compared to before when recovery took hours or more. I also notice my feet don't really swell anymore, though I can't say whether that was a factor of these socks, or eliminating an admittedly fairly high sodium week of meals. I wore these under socks twice, and OVER socks once... for the former, how well wearing them under socks works depends on the sock itself, because they were perfect the first day, but the second day with a different pair of socks had the socks constantly sliding down my feet in my shoes all day. Wearing them over the socks, eh... I don't feel as if I got the full benefits of the compression, even with a thin sock, so I'll probably do it the other way from now on.I'm only giving these four stars because I have some concerns about the quality... I've already found a few little threads popping loose here and there. If you have chronic foot pain, however, or even just pain while working, I'd still recommend giving them a try, since they're not incredibly expensive compared to what you'd expect to pay testing out other pain relief methods... such as those $50 Dr Scholls inserts, which did bupkiss. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ profoundly effective & comfortable! *by C***E on Reviewed in the United States on July 31, 2017* incredible compression footies for swell-free feet!... | observations | • fit: ideal. ... very well designed for excellent anatomical fit, with a very effective and necessary heal poach, seams that cross at the bones, just b4 your toes, and at the smallest point of your lower leg above the ankle... | note: order according to the size chart on the item detail page above, and you should also experience an ideal fit | • compression: ideal. ... not too tight, but just right; to stabilize the tendons, ligaments, & muscles, hasten the recovery of an injury, and/or to remove inflammation, without affecting circulation • comfort: very comfortable. ... i wear them to bed, sleeping ~12 hours/night, and they are still comfortable, after all those hours! :-) • materials and sewing: soft and comfortable; i do not feel any sewing or materials; they are both very soft and comfortable to the skin... • durability: high. ... they are worn ~12+ hours/day, washed 2x week, and, after several months now, there is no sign of wear and they still look and feel.
