Giglio Casual Genuine Handmade Womens Italian Grain Leather Rucksack Backpack Shoulder Bag

Five years ago I bought the previous design of this bag in Air Force blue (a bluey grey). I loved it. After daily use for 4 years it still looked as good as new, due to the superb quality of the supple leather and the craftsmanship. It's roomy enough to take, on occasions, a water bottle (preferably small smoothie size, and (without zipping up the top) my I-pad, as well as my usual daily stuff. It won't take an A4 folder/guidebook, but I always have a stowaway shopping bag in it, in case i suddenly acquire something bigger. I wasn't concerned about leaving the top zip open, as the straps keep it closed and completely inaccessible to the light-fingered. During the fifth year first the zip of the inside pocket broke, then the main top zip itself. I carried on using it like this for many months. Only now that the main handles have started to fray have I had to buy a new one, this time in black. If I could rate it 4.8 I would, as (a) my preferred colours of grey or navy weren't available and (b) I miss the extra unzipped pocket that was on the front of the previous design. It was perfect for comb & tickets and was so tight to the bag that I never lost anything from it in five years. This style of bag suits my needs perfectly and this product is extremely smart, functional and well-made. Worth every penny.ETA:1. I returned the initial purple bag ordered back in May due to it having a small flaw which would appear to have occurred in transit. The sellers were helpful throughout and advised they only had a darker purple one left and offered a refund but I thought I would prefer the darker one anyway. And I did! The purple as in the photo is a lovely bright purple though. The bag is well made, very smart to look at with useful outer pockets to take phone, keys, tissues etc. It's big enough to use as a handbag especially if you want to avoid carrying around a lot of unnecessary junk. Plus your hand are free! When I need a more bigger and more utilitarian rucksack I'll use another one. This is a smart quality item. My only gripe is that I wish the metal on the bag (zip pulls etc) had more of a satin finish but that's just my personal taste. They are very shiny and I think that does cheapen the overall look.

Beautiful bag. Leather is thick and good quality. Marked down as I am a commuter and there are simply not enough internal pockets and safe pockets for all the things you need to carry and the lining is gery flimsy. But if its just a leisure handbag then its lovely.

Love it, still use. Stylish, and really fits more items than I thought as the leather extends a little to accommodate more. Compact for those light weight flights and trips and easily stowed under the seat. Its good quality stitching has endured so far, and the leather is resistible to hard scratches.

So happy with this bag! Really lovely soft leather. It's shaped so cleverly to not look like a typical bulky backpack and is still spacious enough inside to fit my essentials (purse, diary, portable charger, pens and keys). The outer zipper pockets (one in front, and another behind) add further space for odds and ends. Secure too as the top part closes together so the main compartment is protected from any itchy fingers. Works very well as an everyday bag for me.

The bag is so much smaller than the picture leads you to believe. It would be good to show someone wearing. I have returned item

I am waiting for Amazon to collect this bag and get my refund not as expected and too small for a rucksack.

The rucksack was smaller than it appeared on screen but I love it still. It is very well made and stylish. I love the design which is unusual and not like anything I have seen elsewhere. The bag takes a fair amount. It is safe for carrying your belongings safely.
