I bought this product to help detox my animals from harmful pet food produced by only a few manufacturers causing kidney failure and in some cases death according to Dog Food Advisor which prompted me to research foods I'm giving my cats too. I first wanted to detox my animals to help their kidneys and chose this product Milk Thistle. I then found a brand of food not on the "harmful list" and not produced by the few monopolizing manurfacturers. After only a week I noticed a marked improvement in their vitality. They all seem perkier and happier. It really is amazing. One dog is over 10 years old. I am, however, also adding in a nutritional supplement called NutriThrive. All together I believe this product has haelped tremendously. I believe it would work for me too if need be!

Good product, I really did detox my Liver.

This product is much too expensive for such a small amount. It will only last me a week. There are other organic milk thistle companies available for a much better price.

I purchased this because my vet advised that I give Milk Thistle to my 16 year old dog, who is experiencing kidney issues and blood tests investigating that uncovered that her liver levels were slightly high. He said that Milk Thistle had helped many of his animal patients who had liver issues. I first bought the kind in capsules, but my small dog only needed half the contents of a capsule per day, and the capsules were difficult to open and empty into her food. I also try to give her organic as much as possible due to her advanced age, and this powder is perfect, since I can scoop out the measurement with a measuring spoon and sprinkle into her food, and her health has noticeably improved already. We will have blood tests again in a month, but I am already confident that it's helping.

Does NOT dissolve well at all (in hot or cold). Not recommended

I attempted putting it in my protein shakes in the morning but it changed the texture too much and made the protein shake unable to consume. So I decided to capsulize it and that works a lot better. I take several supplements a day so it doesn't bother me much to take couple more pills.
