Can you cut it to make it fix several RV windows?

Absolutely. A razor blade or moderately sharp scissors will easily cut it. I cut it into 20x46" panels to insulate the inside of my metal garage door. Just one heads up: if you ever want to affix it to vinyl (say a vinyl coated metal garage door...) be sure to use vinyl adhesive. The other stuff won't work.

How temporary is this product? I want to use it on huge bedroom windows, but be able to remove it when the temp is mild.

It will be as temporary as whatever you use to affix it to the window is. There is no adhesive on this product. This is like the stuff used to make sun visors for car windshields. Think bubble wrap with silver covering. It is very sturdy and you should be able to reuse it many times.

Would this make a good heat reflecting layer for under your sleeping bag, in your tent?

Yes. YouTube camping/survival guru ReallyBigMonkey1 demonstrates how tough Reflectix is and uses it to layer with a welding blanket to make a really stout survival blanket/tarp. Plenty of Bushcraft/Hiking people use Reflectix mats under their sleeping bags or pads.

I want to line a roosting box (a community nesting box for birds in the winter, they huddle to share warmth) with this. Would it work to trap heat?

I think the fact that it has some insulation (like a padded mailer) would help trap heat. And it would work for sure if you added a heat source like Maryanne suggested. I feel sure that the Reflectix would keep the air warmer than foam. I've tried using a thick foam padding to insulate a dog house. The cold wind blew through small cracks in the dog house and eventually seeped through the foam because there was no barrier. The Reflectix is a padded barrier.
