Compared to similar items, I liked that it had a flat bottom so I could put it down while I...um, wrapped things up. My plan is to close the lid and keep it and the funnel in a plastic bag when not in use. [And empty it in the appropriate place in the morning.] It is made of what appears to be medical-grade plastic and should clean well with hot soapy water. I filled it with water and closed the lid and, indeed, when you turn it on its side, liquid will leak out around the lid. So, if you plan to toss it around when it's got something in it, keep looking. But it will work for me. After a freak accidental fall, I've been made completely bed bound for the last few months and will unfortunately continue to be so for the next few months. However I just bought this and duck tape for the hack and have been pleasantly surprised with how easy this is to use. There has been a small dribble at the end but that might be the angle I have to use. But for the most part, this works effectively and has allowed me use this in the adjustable bed provided by the rehabilitation facility.
