Definitely does its job. Very easy to use/haul around and 100% waterproof. The size is awesome as well, can fit pretty much anything for a small day trip.

We traveled on boat from one island to another and as the boat rocked we got wet from water splashing. However, our personal items remained dry. The way the bag closes has proven to be water tight! The bag appears to be durable too although we used it for a one day excursion. Definitely a must have for boat outings!

The bag quality is great! It is made of a thick material that folds over easily. I have brought out 32oz hydroflasks, food, and valuables (phone, car keys, wallet), and it does not get wet. I enjoy taking this out on my paddle board because you can strap it to the cables and won't have to worry about it falling off.My only complaint would be that it is pretty small when you roll it down. Instructions state that you should roll it down 3-5 times, and after doing this, much of the volume is lost. I purchased a 10L, and honestly, wished I had purchased a bigger size. This is just big enough to carry 1 32 oz bottle, a few snacks, wallet, phone, and keys. That's probably as much as I can fit.

Let me tell you, it doesn't get more waterproof then this. this bag is so secure I mean it is a genius product. I would be absolutely shocked if someone were to tell me they got their belongings wet even when using this. It is very clear about how to use it and easy to pack and take with you or put in a suitcase which is really nice and it fits so many things in there. I used this in the rainforest in South America and I would just toss things in there like it was nothing and then roll it up, clamp it, and then I'm off. It looks very pretty and you can tell from the quality it is made of that it is very durable and the material is also tough so tearing a hole through it would be pretty hard.

bought nov 22 2022as noted below, i sadly had to cut the shoulder straps off as this was always bought w intention of usage inside my 36l outdoor products hiking backpackwell, this dry bag still works welll as the durable inner gab for my hiking backpackstill keeps contents dry when neededhelps reduce wear/tear on my hiking backpacks rather thin bottomwill buy as a beach bag when i need a beach bag as im surrounded by 'emg8 bag g8 valueoh and it is now juen 13th 2023 as of this review update, daily usage in my backpacknote i have not clipped it shut daily - that only done a couple of times so cannot speak to buckle durability but they seem like your standard heavy duty plastic buckles so i dont see why they would ever failno reason to buy sea to summit brand or similar as this bag is as good albeit far heavier but mabye this brand sells a lighter version/thinner version. agian this bag is made to be a stnadalone dry bag in a kayak etc i think. so much thicker than my 5L sea to summit bag (which has withstood 8 years of use as my 13 inch laoptop bag)Sadly the straps are not removableseriously i am sad about this as they are so thick and well made i was sad to cut them off lolwhy?cuz they are so heavy, so padded, that they added seemingly a half or 2/3 lb to my backpackthis dry bag is perfect for my 36L hiking backpack with just 1 pocket.i put this 40L dry bag in and it def will add durability esp to bottom of my backpack as i carry electronics laptops etc in iti didnt want to cut the straps cuz of how nice n sturdy they seemed but had tothe folding top and closure buckles seem heavy dutythe bag is thick dunno thickness but a couple to seve mm??my sea to summit 5L drybag is prob a 1/3 thick but then again thatbag is meant for inside a backpack or other bag and not as a standalone bag i thik.this orang 40l could easily last by itself - a reviewer in Hi said they've used it for a long time which is why i bought it - they said it lasted beaches salt air etc so i know it can last inside a backpack lolanit is same thickness if not more as my 20L dry bags from Outdoor products - a value brand you can get at walmart whose products all have LIFETIME warranty!!! OP products is also my backpack brand. i have 3 of their bakcpacks. they will always replace your item even years later. i knos cuuze ive done this on 2 items. one was for a frayed chsest strap & other leaking water puch. - point is this 40L orange bag seems as good as OP...will update over time and nope aint gonna fix typos lol

I've been very, very pleased with this bag. It's extremely durable, highly water resistant, and great value for money.I say "highly water resistant" because I've never completely submerged it. But it's been in plenty of wet conditions and I've never had wet clothes. Highly recommended!
