I'm a type 1 diabetic and a celiac so I'm always looking for a healthy and low-carb cracker replacement. At first I was really turned off by the taste. They're not really great at mimicking a typical cracker flavor, but eventually I really learned to like them. They taste great with cheese or cream cheese and it's a good way to get some flax and fiber in my diet. They're a little expensive but it seems to be cheaper to buy them from here rather than in stores near my house.

As a dietician and physician assistant, I truly believe "you are what you eat."I therefore eat extremely we'll including a wide variety of foods that do not always taste as delicious as I would like, but that is okay. I have actually gotten used to eating foods that some people in my life could not possibly tolerate. Since I am trying a "gluten free, sugar free (including no fruit which contains natural sugar and no artificial sweeteners) food plan for 21 days so I wanted something to "crunch on." I read that this product fits into my anti-inflammatory plan so I couldn't wait tot try ti. When My husband saw me one the package he said the flaxseed crackers looked good and he wanted to try one too. neither of us could handle the one bite, and we were nauseas from its taste alone! It looks good if you like flaxseeds, and I do. It has a nice crunch if you like that which many people enjoy. But the taste was vile and neither I nor my husband had an easy time getting the potent vile taste out of our mouth. I brushed my teeth WELL, I ate foods with a rich flavor to mask the after taste....but the aftermath was awful! I do not recommend, and I like and/or tolerate just about anything that is healthful. I do not mean to sound obnoxious, but I would give this "zero stars" if I could. Lastly, these crackers in this favor (the only flavor I tried), seriously smells like a potent smelling dog treat that I have a hard time givingly dog since it smell so strong. Perhaps I associated that smell (of the dog treat) with the taste of this product? Regardless, I was seriously nauseous after eating this product and the after taste angered for not just me, but for my hubby too. It's just awful!

I was hesitant after reading other reviewers saying these crackers had an odd taste. But after receiving these and tasting them myself, I can definitively state that those people obviously never tasted flax before. Maybe they are just sheltered people who expect healthfood crackers to taste just like sugared up nabisco "whole wheat" crackers. These tastes as they should: exactly like flax seed. If they think this tastes "odd", their complaint is with flax seeds in general...not this product.For health reasons I used to cook my own flax crackers out of flax meal and salt since it is impossible to get plain flax crackers on the market without extraneous add-on ingredients. That is a pain in the you-know-what doing that twice a weekk. So I was happy to find these, which have only three ingredients: flax, vinegar, and salt.These are not fragile so even though there were loose seeds in the bottom of bag, these crackers hold up well. The portion size is great. Fat is high but that is to be expected with flax seeds (healthy fats). My only complaint is cost.A suggestion as well: make the same crackers, but out of flax meal instead of the whole seed. The consistency may be even better.

Hard to chew, but a nice finish flavor. Use a blob of PB to make miniature snack sammiches

Let me say right off the bat that my complaint is as much against the bona fide nutritionist who recommended these crackers to me as a "low carb alternative" as it is with the company which writes on the package that "8 crackers" equal 14 grams of carbs. What they neglect to say is that these "crackers" are literally 1/2 inch square in size! Yes, they are delicious, yes they are crunchy, yes they are healthy, but YES they are really high carb if you compare them to, let's say, rice or multigrain crackers that you have to eat much more of to equal a serving size of the same 13-15 grams carbs and which cost way, way less.So, if you're just looking for something good tasting and healthy and don't mind the exhorbitant cost, then go for it, but don't think you are getting anyting close to a real sized cracker.

My wife and I got theses after listening to Casey Means' book and we were pleasantly surprised by the taste, especially after reading a lot of (extremely) lengthy bad reviews.The Garden Vegatable flavor is good for what it is (a healthfood chip), and we honestly could eat these by themselves or with cheese or hummus.These aren't your overly processed potato chips or wheat treats loaded with garbage, so obviously they aren't going to taste like that. It's a fairly simple chip with a simple flavor and no fluff. Good enough for us.

I love Sanissimo brand crackers, but couldn’t seem to find them, so bought these instead. One taste and I decided to give them away to coworkers. I found them rather meally, heavy, ans stale tasting. Plus they’re too small to easily spread stuff onto. To be fair, some of my colleagues seemed to like them.Does food taste better when it’s free?

I needed more fiber and saw these. I do not like them and you can't return these, so be careful and buy 1 for a test before you pull the trigger on a box. The texture is weird and the taste for me is...off. I managed to get some down by using cream cheese, but these get a big nope from me.
