This timer has the best magnet. Plus, it has great button choices to add 5 minutes, 10 seconds or an hour. They register by an easy touch. This timer how sound options, I started the timer on medium sound (loudness) setting and its plenty loud. I can't speak to longevity as I have only had it a few weeks, but its so useful for my lunatic husband who could not handle our last similar kitchen timer (w/5 minutes, 10 seconds etc). It had 2 very small magnets on the back that were not compatible with the side of my refrigerator (as it is not super smooth; it has a little texture). Needless to say. This one stays in place (and out of the trash) and offers different features. So you will have to read about the modes - if you want to switch between - clock and timer or other. Or if you accidentally, go into a mode (like I did), but a simple scan of the directions fixed it.

This timer is great. All the functions work well. I purchased this to do time lapse photography so I can show the time in the video. It does exactly what it is designed for. It is very easy to use, the large display is great. Highly Recommend.

This is a very nice timer. The display numbers are nice and big, and the alarm on high is not too loud.It is well made and the stand and magnet are excellent. It is larger than my other timers. It is 3" wide and 3.5" high. Also, if you enter say 3:00. 3:00 will stay in the display window until you hit start. Other timers I have the 3:00 will vanish after about 15-20 minutes. This timer looks different than other timers, but it is very EASY to use. Just read the short instructions. I just bought 2 more. Highly Recommend.

Great design, poor product quality. Read below or just check out the new smaller timer now carried on Amazon.Once you get used to it, the features of this timer are great. So we got two.But one quit in 3 months time. Stop button won't work. Boo! Then we ordered a replacement and it didn't work from the start. This repeated 2 more times so now we've quit!!!!!!!Will change 1 star rating if seller makes good on it but we're over the 30 days return time on our first order. Sent [email protected] all the info you read here.We ordered another one in the other color so can tell them apart and keep one by K table on softer ring. But the replacement had same problem-- from the start, and so did it's replacement--and then it's replacement !(((Alternatives? Searching online only brought up Amazon for selling this model, but Liorque.net sells a smaller one that we may try. However, it's only sold with 3 purchase minimum!? Tempting cuz we really like the convenience of the button time choices, along with alarm volume choice.... Drat!Good luck.

I needed a kitchen timer and clock combo, and this little unit met almost all of my expectations. The display window is quite large, and includes hour, minute, AND second; the beeping sound is loud enough to be heard from across the room; setting up the timer is very quick and easy with the 5s, 1m, 5m, and 1h buttons. The count-up feature after the timer has finished counting down is a nice feature.There are a couple of issues which prevent this from getting five stars:1. The unit has rounded edges so it doesn't sit flush on the surface. When you press any of the buttons, the bottom part of the unit (where all the buttons are) would tilt slightly unless you hold the entire unit with your other hand.2. The magnet is rather weak, so the unit would slide around a bit when you touch it.Both of these issues could easily be solved by having a stronger magnet since it would hold the unit firmly against the surface.

My husband and I have about 8 of these timers and use them multiple times a day. They are so easy to set, and you can adjust how loud they are. We use them to remind us of when to check the wood stove, when to let the dog in, when to drink water, when to get ready to go, join meeting, everything.One improvement idea would be to add a strip of dry erase board to the timer to remind you of what you were timing. When you have multiple timers going sometimes you lose track. It would also be helpful for the elderly if their memory isn't the best.

It has a sleek design and is easy to set up and use. I chose this timer because it has "reset" and "5M" buttons. And the timer has an "extra" button labeled "custom" that makes counting down even easier. If you frequently use a timer, you understand how essential these buttons are. So far, the timer has performed exactly as I expected

Works okay, but the alarm is not loud enough. Can only hear it if I stay in the kitchen where I use it. Purchased it a long time ago, so I'm just commenting.
