The material thickness feels like enough for summer but also thick enough that not see through. Bonus for nursing moms, the top part is very easily pulled down and has a lot of stretch to it. I am very post partum 5'0 and currently sitting at 145 pounds , the small fits pretty well but if you wanted the mid section a bit looser a medium may work better .
