Superb bang for the buck ! Impressive build quality. Buy this now! Goodbye Nvidia.
My one year old Nvidia 3060 ti FE 8gb is a nice little video card ( from a legacy build) , but began to be challenged in DCS and MSFS running ultra/high settings on my new system build- i7-13700, 2 x Sam 980 pro, 64gb ram, Seasonic Plat 850watts, 3x Sam 870 EVO, 4x Arctic 120mm case fans, 2x Arctic 120 cpu fans on Thermalrite Assassin, Antec P101 case. No real surprise since flight sims are notoriously challenging for frame rates, etc. DLSS helps some but native horsepower rendering really counts using TLAA, etc. The 40XX series is generationally lackluster ( except 4090) , pricey, and stingy on VRAM. Rumors are that Nvidia has drastically slowed 40XX production to support prices on existing cards for sale due to weaker demand. AMD on the other hand are slashing prices the last few months on superbly built cards, equipped with more VRAM. AMD has also decided to reportedly focus on mid tier cards going forward and likely ceding the 4090 high ground to others. As competition heats up for gpu chips with AI exploding, prices and scarcity of consumer gpus may get problematic in 2024 and beyond. Cryto bad? Dont know. This new XFX 6950 XT is built like a tank and it is mucho grande. It dwarfs my 3060ti in the photo. All metal design, three fans, two 8 pin sockets, super reinforced IO shield to pcb support- little to no card “ sag”, unlike other giant AIB cards. It has three DP ports and one HDMI. With DP, it supports my 1440 165mhz Dell monitor. The 6950XT can go ballistic and compete at 4K if I decide to go to an LG OLED. Many users report using these for VR. This card natively performs about 65-75% better than my 3060ti. It runs about 10C cooler, about 500-700 mhz faster, uses about 10% less vram and has DOUBLE the total vram. The only downside is its increased power consumption. At full tilt, the 6950 XT consistently reports using about 300 watts , and with my i7-13700 cpu , the whole computer maxes out at 485 watts at the wall plug- measured by a Kill a Watt plug in meter. That gives my Seasonic 850watt power supply plenty of headroom. For comparison, my 3060 ti and i7-13700 measured about 350 watts at the wall during gaming ( about 39% less power). The 6950 XT shows about 20 watts power usage at idle. I have played with the fan curves a bit and the Adrenaline software used to load your AMD drivers is easy to use. I have only used the card a few days but I am IMPRESSED ! I feel great about the purchase due to its: relative price/ performance; superb build quality; beastly native performance; 16gb moving forward into an uncertain GPU environment between Nvidia, AMD and Intel. This card was nearly double the price about a year ago. I considered the 7900XT but a minimalist 16% performance increase did not justify a 36% price increase. I did mildly consider the Asus 4070 but the $110 (16%) price increase to get a triple fan Asus model with LESS performance - about 16% LESS in 1440 and 27% LESS in 4K with 4gb LESS vram. No thanks.BTW- AMD is releasing two new mid tier cards tomorrow at Gamescon and will be announcing the release of FSR 3, a competitor to Nvidias DLSS 3. Lately, I have seen more and more former Green team owners now buying Team Red video cards. Now I know why. The AMD 68xx and 69xx cards were great performers- now at greatly reduced prices ( relatively speaking). Buy them before AMDs last gen super cards are no longer available. Like me, you will likely be impressed. Further, I used DDU Uninstall in Windows safe mode to uninstall the Nvidia drivers before I installed Adrenaline which contains the latest AMD drivers. Many YT vids on this simple and straightforward process.Registering your new video card at the XFX website reportedly extends your warranty to THREE years and XFX video cards generally have strong customer reviews for build quality, long term longevity, etc.UPDATE: 11/2/2023My original XFX RX 6950XT continues to amaze me. I recently built another computer to be used at another location and tried an Nvidia RTX 4070 12gb FE gpu in it because recently both MSFS and now DCS offer DLSS, an Nvidia exclusive. The Nvidia RTX 4070 12 gb FE demonstrated moderate performance at best, and worse, it started demonstrating hemispheric shading issues after being used for just a few days after purchase. Back it went to the partner retailer and i JUST BOUGHT ANOTHER XFX RX 6950XT for that alternate computer. Folks, this video card is just that good. For exactly the same cost as the Nvidia RTX 4070 12 gb FE, it smokes the Green card in pure, unbridled performance. These last gen AMD super cards are disappearing over time. Buy one before the inventory is exhausted. It will be a BIG DOG for quite awhile . Stunning build quality and Mach speed performance for the co$t.

Absolutely blown away. Gaming won't ever be the same.
The media could not be loaded. I'm a 1440p gamer and the performance from this card is jaw dropping, coming from an RX Vega 64 I've been using since August 2017.I paired it with a 5800X3D and sat it on an ASUS Crosshair VIII mobo with 32gb of some Gskill Ripjaw @ 4000mhz and a P41 Hynix for storage medium. Everything is air cooled, with the Cooler Master dual tower RGB fan being used for my CPU; I planted all my gear inside the monstrous Cooler Master HAF EVO 700 E-ATX case--a tower so big that this massive GPU is completely dwarfed inside of it.Historically, I'm a hyper-tinkerer at heart when it comes to my rigs with a compulsion to overlook, undervolt and tweak everything in my systems six ways to Sunday. This time around I decided to put together a system that was such a beast when running stock that I could feel comfortable with its performance and try to abate my obsession with fidgeting and micromanaging all my settings and bios. And with this build, I've basically found my laissez-faire holy grail thanks in large part to this particular GPU.The performance is so strong that I'm actually able to notice hardware bottlenecks when playing games that aren't installed on my P41 m2. The card rips through frames at such a consistent speed, the external SSD I've used for a secondary storage medium actually has noticeable micro stutters Jesse I ally when first starting gaming sessions and textures\shadows are caching. However, hese bottlenecks are completely nonexistent when gaming on titles installed on my P41 Hynix and the load times are absolute insanity. My machine boots to desktop from a cold start before I can finish sitting down in my chair if I push power on from a standing position and titles like Cyberpunk 2077, Red Dead 2, Dying Light 2, Elden Ring, Days Gone and Hell Let Loose are able to prey cache/initialize and load up in a literal matter of seconds. I almost feel like I'm gaming on alien technology or something.FSR2.0/Radeon Scaling already turn this beast of a card into a Super Saiyan Blue-level powerhouse. Setting games to 1080p while keeping my native at 1440p has given me scaling performance upwards of 150%-200%, depending on the FSR profile used.Of course Raytracing takes a big hit performance wise when compared to Nvidia's cards, but in 1440p without FSR that hit usually means you'll be playing at 60-70fps, which is almost always more than enough for buttersmooth consistency--especially in third person games. FPS shooters are usually the only time you might feel that the 60-70 fps range isn't enough, and that's understandable. Very few games utilize RT in a meaningful way anyway, so it isn't that big of a problem for me except maybe when I'm playing Cyberpunk 2077 or Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition. RT looks incredible in Control, however, and it plays smooth as glass as well. The other things I'm completely enamored by with this card are its temps both idle and under load, and its noise output. This thing is ninja quiet at peak load even two or three hours into a heavy Hell Let Loose or Battlefield 5 gaming session, and temperatures hardly ever exceed 60c after hours of playing. The highest I've seen this thing ever go is 68c during ARK Survival Evolved, and that is such an horribly optimized title I didn't give it much gravitas since performance in everything else I play is substantially/significantly cooler. 50-55c under load in many games is common. The only con I had with this card was video playback stuttering like crazy whenever I watched Hulu in the desktop app or when I watched Netflix/Tubi/HBOMax/Disney+/Apple TV+ in Microsoft Edge and Opera GX. However, I was able to fix this buy disabling Hardware Acceleration in Edge (this also fixed playback stuttering in the Hulu app because it runs in an Edge window and uses HTML5 as its API) and in Opera GX. Mind you, thr playback stuttering was -only- in the browser version of each streaming platform. Their standalone apps worked perfectly from the get-go (except Hulu cuz HTML5 as explained above) because they run in programs with .NET APIs or other compiled libraries. After fixing my video stuttering problem (also a known problem to AMD per their Adrenalin driver update notes), this card has yet to show me a single flaw or leave me unhappy with its performance.I never knew games could ever look or feel this good to play. The performance almost feels ... Magical, for lack of a better and less geeky way of describing it. Getting it on sale for over $100 off the usual price certainly adds to its charm as well. Here's to at least another 5 years of use! 5/5 A+ to AMD, what a killer piece of tech!

Muy buena tarjeta de video.
The media could not be loaded.

The media could not be loaded.

Awesome GPU!
Running this beast of a GPU with an i7 13700KF all sitting on an ASRock Z790 PG Riptide DDR5 mobo. This thing looks and performs awesome. I play at 1440p. This thing quite obviously blows my 3060 Ti out of the water (went from the 3060 in a Dell XPS 8940 to my own custom build). Before I was averaging 135 FPS on COD Vanguard and now I'm hitting well over 200! Have noticed the performance differences in other games as well such AC Odyssey and BFV. I know this thing is geared toward 4K but if you play at 1440p don't rule out buying it! You'll get maximum performance at maximum settings and if you want to make the jump to 4K all you'll need is a new monitor. Can't beat the price either. As far as I know the 3090 Ti is slightly better (and far better at raytracing of course, if you're into that) but most models are consistently 2x to 3x the price right now. Even most 3080 Ti's are close to double if not more. Highly recommend if RT isn't a deal breaker for you. Also it doesn't come with an anti-sag brace (not totally sure it even needs one with my rig, it definitely droops but it isn't too much cause for concern) but I found one here on Amazon for like $12. I could probably get away without it but it'll give me some piece of mind knowing it's got some support under it. But it's mostly for aesthetics lol. Case is a 4000D airflow and just a warning if you had a radiator and fans on the front of the case it's likely that this GPU will not fit. You'd have to upsize to the 5000D.

really nice
gpu is really big had to buy a new case just to get it working but the gpu is really quiet and powerful.
