One of the better Vitamin B complex on the market
First, the ingredients and the serving size. This information is not included in the product description so I thought I'll put it here.Serving amount is two tablets.✔ B-Complex:Thiamin-Vitamin B1 5 mg 300%Riboflavin-Vitamin B2 9 mg 500%Niacin 45 mg 225%Vitamin B6 9 mg 450%Folate 400 mcg 100%Vitamin B12 120 mcg 2000%Biotin 300 mcg 100%Pantothenic Acid 45 mg 450%✔ Herbal Extracts (They give these funky names but you can still see the ingredients):Optimal Stress Response 140 mg:Chamomile (flower); Lavender (flower); Eleuthero (root); American Ginseng (root); Hawthorn (berry and leaf)Immune Support Response 82 mg:Astragalus (root); Elderberry (berry); Shiitake (mushroom); Cordyceps (mushroom); Reishi (mushroom); Maitake (mushroom)✔ More Herbal Extracts that go by the name of Superfoods and Spices here:Organic Spinach (leaf) 155 mgSoy Lecithin (non-GMO) 132 mgOrganic Blueberry (fruit) 95 mgTurmeric (rhizome) 6.4 mg hydroethanolic extract and 1.6 mg organic supercritical extract 8 mgGinger (rhizome) 3.2 mg hydroethanolic extract and 0.8 mg organic supercritical extract 4 mg➨ Now, the review itself. This is a pretty darn good B-complex supplement. Good ingredients. The pills are not too large to swallow, which is a plus in my book. It's a bit on the expensive side but I am sensitive to B vitamins so I have to be careful which ones I take. The "Superfoods" added here are in quantities large enough to help the absorption of B vitamins but if you are into these "Superfoods", you might consider taking some other formulation in addition to this.➨ A couple of observations (from my experience) on vitamin B complex in general:✔ The quality of the ingredients, the components, and the amounts, play a big role. Sometimes taking a cheap, grocery store variety B complex might lead to results that are opposite to what we usually expect from taking these vitamins. So, be careful and observe how you react to it, especially if you have some neurological disease - migraine, anxiety, etc.✔ If you take a single vitamin B for whatever reason - B12, B6, whatever, please keep in mind that all the vitamin Bs act in tandem. You might actually develop deficiency of other B vitamins if you concentrate just on one. So, you might consider taking a good B complex instead.✔ Vitamin B complex included in most multivitamins is usually not of sufficient quantity and quality to have as much effect as a dedicated vitamin B complex. As for New Chapter Coenzyme B Food Complex, I've been taking it for a couple of years already. Every time I try to economize and switch to cheaper brands, I can feel the difference. Recommended.

Cyanocablamin? Synthetic folic acid. Then they ferment. What are we left with? Doubts about folic acid and risk it presents.
Disappointed: NC uses synthetic FOLIC ACID vs plant derived FOLATE. Major difference. So that part is not a food complex, no matter what they say their fermentation process does to that lab derived ingredient.I have always been a huge fan of New Chapter.I've used this supplement.I began to do some research as someone told me that this B12 is not the good type (methylcobalamin)Instead they are using cyanocablamin for their B12. Just do a web search on methylcobalamin vs cyanocablamin. While you are at it do another for folic acid (risks) vs folate. Tried to find out which folate it is, and it looks suspicious, withouta positive confirm on it being the healthy kind. Folic acid carries an increased cancer risk. Who needs that!Speaking with a representative from New Chapter, I received this response:I confirmed the use of the synthetic form of folate which is folic acid. Not to worry they said. The fermentation process converts it. Hmmm.Is it still a WHOLE FOOD COMPLEXED vitamin B then?Being around from 1980's they are not about to change their formulation. Furthermore, they say the fermentation process converts the cyanocablamin for their B12 to a more absorbable form. That's the same said that fermentation process which they insist converts the folic acid to folate. That person couldn't confirm that testing or studies proved that or not. My goodness, I am left to wonder if that is an assumption or something proven in a lab and with test studies? At any rate to risk cancer from folic acid, and B12 deficiency and what follows that is not to my liking.Let them have that confirmed in lab test/studies before I put my tail on the line!I did find another brand which looks like it covers all B, including 12. Here is that info to pick apart:Both are Seeking Health supplements http://www.seekinghealth.com/ and they appear decent. Let me know what you think.Active B12 Lozenge With L-5-MTHF | 800 mcg of Pure Non-racemic L-methylfolate | 1,000 mcg of Methylcobalamin and Adenosylcobalamin Vitamin B12 | 60 Lozenges&B-Minus | Provides Thiamin, Riboflavin, Niacin, Vitamin B6, Pantothenic Acid, Biotin | Free of B12 and Folate | Non-GMO | Physician Formulated | 100 Vegetarian Capsules |Update on 8/11/15:More research. Jury is still out on what we are actually left with after New Chapters fermentation process. While the adaptogens give me a boost of energy (Ginseng and other adaptogens/herbs) I wasn't quite sure that I was getting the most absorbable form of B12, so I did more research, continued to take the New Chapter product, and then... added another b12 to this... WHICH YIELDING RESULTS IN THREE DAYS!!!!The B12 I added was Methylcobalamin to this regimen of taking the B complex. It was just a Puritan's Pride B12. First three days did high dose, then skipped a day and tapered down to lower. The energy level (and therefore absorption) was within two days. At that lower dose I still feel the difference, between that of the B complex alone and this in addition. I am grateful for the energy. Impressive.Either the methylcobalamin conversion in the New Chapter B complex, or maybe their lower dose of B12 in the complex, is not enough. But why wonder? With response like this from my system... easily taking in and using the Methyl type, this adaptation (taking both) covers my B12 needs.Next: The issue of the folate. I am hoping the fermentation process may indeed convert to folate... and I am hoping it is not leaving folic acid to my system (for if so there are risks). I have ordered a methyl folate which I will begin introducing to my system, only after I have leveled/determined where my sweet spot (correct dose) for the Methyl B12 dosing is. I am seeking a physiological effect after the initial dosing is altered. Then I will slowly incorporate the methylfolate at extremely low doses, probably 2-3x a week. I have heard of over methylation problems, and following a cautious protocol (found online) that can be avoided.I don't have concerns about that small amount of B12 in the New Chapter B Complex. So what if it is not being absorbed. It's not harmful.I do have potential concerns about the folic acid conversion, and am reviewing other products to replace this B complex with that do not pose that risk. The B complex I mentioned earlier is out of the running for many are complaining about Niacin in that complex being too high.I have it tougher than most who are in the US, for I am traveling abroad, and have ordered a supplement to meet up with me in about 3 weeks... quite a work of coordination to do that!So bottom line is I have raised the stars up to 3, but am very leery of 1) Folic Acid conversion to Folate via fermentation process 2) the ease in absorption of that "folate" and 3) the adequacy of that dose to counter a deficiency. If anyone finds a B complex that does offer B's which do eliminate the folic acid risk, please let me know! I can always add my own adaptogens to the mix, and I am already green juicing, so not much loss on other ingredients.

Life changing for me.
I've been suffering from anxiety for life, but past about 10 years were the worst. If not my children I could easily cross these 10 years out of my life with no regret if I could. Unexplainable pain in the left side of my ribcage would drive me crazy and it would, sometimes, last for month. I was tense to the point of grinding my teeth when in sleep since I can remember myself and when I was writing something with the pen it would imprint through many pages below - this is how tense I always was. My hymn was Ingrid Michaelson's - I just wanna Be OK, Be Ok, Be OK, I just wanna feel OK. When I didn't have kids I coud just be like that, miserable, but no harm to anyone, I could always hide my feelings and smile and joke like there's nothing wrong with me at all, nobody would even guess, but my husband. I could never take any pills, because I don't like to take medications, but recently I decided that I do need help, because this condition started to affect my relationships with my children, who are still very young to understand what's going on with their mommy. First I thought I'd try something over the counter and I've read about vitamin B being essential for the nervous system. I tried couple of different brands from the local pharmacy - no effect. Than I came across the New Chapter's Coenzyme B Food Complex at my local Whole Foods store and the very next day I finally felt OK first time in many-many years. Actually I don't even remember myself feeling like this ever - just OK. Let me tell you - feeling OK is pretty darn good! It's priceless. I feel like this for couple of month now and still getting used to this in a good way. Too bad so many people don't know about this and suffer their whole life.
