Excellent quality dimensionally accurate

Purchased this for measuring valve shims. I confirmed accuracy by measuring new out-of-the-box shims and found it both accurate and easy to use.

With only one picture and multiple descriptions, I was skeptical about getting what I needed and a Mitutoyo micrometer for $43? The delivered product was exactly what I needed and appears to be of great quality. I am not building a spacecraft, just some engine work and this definitely fits my needs. Read the description for size and accuracy when you order and that is what shows up. I was so happy I ordered a second micrometer.

Does the job perfectly.

This seems like a nice Micrometer, especially for the price, but I have very high expectations for Mitutoyo based on the past, and minor finish issues with the one I received make we wonder whether it is truly a legitimate Mitutoyo or whether their quality standards have dropped.

You cant find anything like this its precise and great quality, i wish it had a better box. Digitals can get problems and dont believe they are durable enough.this is good enough and 0.001mm resolution

Mitutoyo OD mics are quality. Have used this brand of OD mics for 20+ years in the machine industry. Known quality, a known product. Comes with certificate of inspection. Added to my personal tool inventory.

I have oedered this as my new lathe is metric and my other micrometer is imperial and making parts to repair a few long case clocks all good so far.

Very accurate when I compare to precision parts

Livré dans une boite rigide en plastique, l'outil est sous vide partiel avec un papier "Volatile Corrosion Inhibitor" pour la protection contre la corrosion. Calibré dès le départ, l'enclume et le tambour sont plats au micro pré avec un défaut de parallélisme < 2 micron (mon exemplaire 1.3 micron) A manipuler doucement, si on "lance" le tambour à la fin pour la mesure ca l'écrase contre l'enclume et on perd 3/100, on est plus au zéro. Si on fait doucement jusqu'au cliquet c'est parfait. Livré calibré avec certificat, à zéro.
