Hillman zinc plated, steel, Hex bolts are machine bolts that have been designed to join materials to prevent shear movement. Zinc grade 2 hex bolts are recommended for most general uses and are corrosion resistant for typical use. The Hex Bolts feature a steel material for added durability. These Hex Bolts feature a blunt pint type, a grade 2 metal grade and a USS Coarse thread. Be sure to pre-drill any holes and to use washers and nuts of a similar grade and finish.   Hillman zinc plated, steel, Hex bolts are designed to fasten facing pieces of wood and/or metal to each other  The hex bolts feature a partially threaded shank that allows for a stronger grip between objects and less shear movement  The grade 2 steel is appropriate for most general uses (match with grade 2 washers and nuts)  Zinc plating offers moderate protection against rust and corrosion  3 sets of 5/16-18" x 1.5" hex bolts
