TERRIFIC
We have just had one too many minor flood incidents which called for a fan just like this one. So I ordered this carpet drying fan for that next unfortunate emergency.Of course every situation is different, but you would be surprised at how much you can tackle yourself. My washing machine overflowed in my kitchen, which is part of an open floor plan with my living room. By the time I caught it, the water was 2 inches deep in the kitchen and of course had soaked part of the living room carpet as well.We got up all the water from the kitchen floor with towels and buckets in an hour. But that left the carpet and speculation of damage under the cabinets. I reached out to a company that specialized in this sort of thing, and next thing I knew, I had four large men in my living room telling me that for $1500, they would set up multiple fans for 2 days that would dry everything. (Never trust round numbers.) After I threw them out, I contacted a carpet cleaner company and when the two guys showed up, I threw myself at their mercy since they normally would not clean wet carpet. They did it, and it made all the difference. ($80 and a hefty tip) But then I needed to set up a fan for two days to blast over the carpet. Small price to pay, really.Interestingly, the fans that the initial company wanted to charge me $1500 to set up (!!) were just like this one. It didn't take much to realize that I would have come out way ahead if I had just bought a bunch of fans. (Unnecessary, it turned out. To quote my handyman, “Houses are self-drying.”)After all of that, I am thrilled to finally have my own carpet drying fan, for that inevitable next issue. This fan blows well. It's large. It's ridiculously easy to use. I hope we have many happy years together!

This thing blows!
Need to dry some carpets? Need to cool an engine down fast? We got this since we work in the south on our cars and the summer months are sooo hot. We set this up to give us nice air under the cars when we're working on them. Exhausts can be hot and this helps us keep our cool. Could be a great valentines day gift. Or a gift for a carpenter. The three settings are nice and the build quality is totally there. I really can't say anything bad about this guy. Out of the box its ready to go! Can absolutely recommend.

Dried up my mess pretty quick
Had a repair situation that finally gave a chance to use this fan for something other than just messing around with it when it arrived. A failed water shut off valve left water on a bathroom floor saturating the trim. This thing did its job and moved air at the rate I expected a $100+ fan to. I checked the surfaces ~20m later and they were dry, left it running another 2h for whatever good that might have done. Its loud but then of course it would be. Cheers for making a cord wrap that actually keeps the cord wrapped.

Good purchase
This has been used it a couple of times at my house for a couple of projects. I used it to help dry my carpet after cleaning. I patched a hole in the bathroom wall and then dried the wall, afterwards I painted and used the Air Mover--it dried so quickly. I like that it is light in weight, with an easy carrying handle makes it easy to move around the house or take on the go. The feature I like the timer that can be set up to three hours and will shut off automatically. Plus, it even has other features. It has three airspeeds, three adjustable angles, an electrical cord that stores around the handle. This Air Mover is a high-quality product that works well. I highly recommend it.

Very powerful air mover with some notable features!
So far, this air mover has been used in multiple ways. My husband paints on the side and uses this air mover to speed up the drying process. It has not let him down yet. We also had a room in our basement flood, so it once again, it came in handy to dry the floor quickly. This air mover is no joke! It is quite powerful and really has the means to get things dry much quicker than a standard fan. The airflow can be used at three different angles ( 0, 45, and 90° angles).Another notable feature to mention is its timer. It can be set for up to three hours. This especially comes in handy for times when we might not make it back that day to shut it off. There isn't anything that we don't like about this air mover. I'm actually thinking of purchasing a second one. If I do, they can be stacked while storing! Up to four can be stacked on their sides. Overall, this air mover has proved itself useful a number of times.

Behold: Fanzilla
Y'all, this thing is a beast. We got this to move air - not necessarily to dry stuff. We live in Louisiana, and it's just hot. If you're sitting outside at all, you either need to be in water or right in front of a fan. My dad insists on sitting outside every night to smoke a giant cigar while watching baseball, and we have quite a fan collection on his porch. This is my fan. I'm not sharing. This is a BIG fan. We actually have much smaller ones we had gotten at Costco (almost the same exact design, just diminutive) that we love, so this is just perfect. You can always aim the blower part up by propping it up on something (or just holding it on your lap and pointing it at your face). It's heavy-duty without weighing a ton. It's just wonderful.

What you need when things get wet...
This fan is for drying off wet floors. Though you can use it to dry carpet after you've washed it, it's more designed to dry out carpet that has been flooded. I got this for a basement that has two sumps and plumbing in the ceiling. Normally dampness is not an issue in our basement and we run a dehumidifier when it is. But occasionally a hard rain will overwhelm our foundation, creating puddles on the floor. I got this for such occasions. The fan puts out not quite a windstorm, but an effective breeze at floor level that helps immensely with drying things out when there's a leak somewhere. I don't find it all that helpful for personal use as another reviewer suggested, but for drying floors it's quite capable.Solidly built with a powerful motor. Good plastic shroud. This is a heavy, quality machine
