130 PC. Dual Wall Adhesive Marine Heat Shrink Kit - 3:1 Shrink Ratio - Red

I’ve tried many of the top recommended Amazon Suggestions/Recommendations/Top Sellers and they all were garbage compared to this. Oddly enough even when I searched for Simple Electronic Solutions 1” Heat Shrink Tube this didn’t appear anywhere in the top 50 list. Had to go find it again through my previous purchase back in 2018. That should tell you enough about the quality, 6+ years same product and link from original purchase. Good products stand the test of time on Amazon while iffy sub par stuff pop up and drop off in months maybe a year tops. Brand names are starting to carry weight again and I know when I purchase this heat shrink by SES, I’ll get a heavy duty robust heat shrink. Let it be stated that sometimes YOU DONT WANT HEAVY DUTY, sometimes you need flexibility. This product solidifies very solid and rigid and is not recommend for situations where inside material undergoes straightening then coiling repeatedly. However if the shape you want to maintain has a tight radius AND you don’t expect it to flex open this will work great. Just remember that this stuff will hold really well to whatever position you set it in when it cools. Fantastic for insulating terminal ends and works very well for 6-8” lengths. However because it solidifies very rigid when your application causes it to change it final shape continuously the seal around the inside adhesive tends to work lose at the openings. The seal deeper inside doesn’t appear to encounter a problem but the initial point of entry at the end of the tubes opening will work lose over time if subjected to continuous straightening and coiling. A little pricey but you get what you pay for. Wirefy and their BS 4:1 heat shrink. If you take 3:1 heat shrink tube and STRETCH IT COLD so that it is bigger PRESTO instant 4:1 heat shrink! 😡 Don’t pretend you’ve created a breakthrough product by false pretense. BUT I GUESS SAYING 3:1 tubing pre-stretched to achieve 4:1 doesn’t exactly have the same impact 🫠.

this is the second time purchasing this. its quality heat shrink tube with adhesive to keep water out, easy to cut and heat. perfect length, i usually get 3 solder joints from each piece. The tubing is still flexible after being shrunk.

I used this to shrink wrap a chain for some shade sails, it worked really well! The material is very strong and even righted the links to perfect 90 degree orientation so it looks sharp. The chain is very rigid inside the wrap. I did a test chain that I then removed the wrap from and it does come off with no mess or goo, I saw some complaints in reviews about goo but I saw none going on or coming off. You definitely need a heat gun, saw some reviewers trying to shrink it with a hair dryer and that won't work. I bought one on Amazon for $18 works great (Genesis GHG1500A 12.5 Amp Dual-Temperature Heat Gun).

This heat shrink tube worked well for the job, though it took more heat than I expected to make it shrink. I used this heat shrink tubing to repair a severed 3-wire extension cord (round, three 16-gage conductors). It is the outer cover over the three lap splices of the wires (each splice offset from the next, wire strands interleaved to lap them, and soldered. Each splice is covered with its own smaller heat shrink tubing). The smaller heat shrink tubing over the individual wires was shrunken down quickly. This larger tubing for the outside jacket started before the splices, went across them, and ended after the splices. It needed quite a bit more heat to do the job. My heat gun was up to the task. I simply found it surprising how much extra heat was needed. My ratings for adhesion and water resistance are guesses. I am going by visual appearance and how well the tubing stays in place when I push on the ends.

Really dig this heat shrink tubing. Compared to other cheap brands I’ve bought you can tell the difference in wall thickness but still stays flexible. Always a good bead of adhesive after heating to ensure a good seal just like the high dollar shrink at supply house. Different sizes accommodate pretty much everything I’ve needed up to multi conductor cable approximately 2/0 size. Liked the other reviewer using the clear to cover markers so ordering that as well.

Product works great. It is just as described, and got it in the promised time. Vendor even sent a follow up message to make sure everything was working fine. An unexpected but welcomed gesture. That is good customer care! So here my review. You have to practice a little to apply well. In particular, what worked best for me is to start on one end and make my way to the other, or start in the center. On my first application I just tried to apply heat evenly and the ends closed sooner which resulted in a little air trapped in the middle. So just take the tipn't After a couple of experiments, this is working like a charm! Love it! Rescued a few iphone charging cables already, and a 30pin to lighting converter which is pretty expensive. I only wish the box came with more of the sizes I use most. It has dozens of the smaller diameters that I might never use, and just a few of the mid sizes which are the ones I really need.

I ordered the 25' roll because I was tired of only getting a couple of 3" tubes of the 1/2" shrink tubing in a kit. I love having the control of cutting the lengths needed & reducing waste. IF, & that's a big IF, IF there's anything I didn't like, it's miniscule & requires no mention. I will DEFINITELY be ordering more rolls of various sizes from this seller. If you're looking for marine grade shrink tubing, I highly recommend this. It shrunk perfectly & should help to keep my LED installations nice & moisture free. The only thing I don't like concerns Amazon & their codes. I would prefer to stick with certain sellers for specific products (this shrink tubing for example). This way, I can contact them directly for a resupply & deal with them EXCLUSIVELY. But, I'll just order from my previously ordered list to stick with these sellers.
