Over all, very nice hangers. I've bought a total of 4 of these and all are holding up nicely. They are excellent for heavier guitars/basses, however lighter instruments, like ukuleles or mandolins, you should give a little weighted pull to engage the lock-in feature for them. I deducted a star because the drywall anchors they include are garbage. I highly recommend using expanding drywall anchors especially if you are hanging heavier instruments.We bought these to use in our main living area. Our youngest (toddler) is special needs, so we've installed them fairly high up and the auto lock gives a little more peace of mind.

I really like these hangers. They look interesting and never fail to elicit comments from friends as they pull a guitars off the wall. The auto-locking feature is simple but quite effective. The hanger arms tilt side to side and have accommodated the various head stock profiles in my collection quite well. These are definitely my go to hangers from now on,On a side note: I circular-filed the screws and anchors that came with the unit in favor of more substantial hardware. I had no confidence that the anchors would stay in the wall - so I replaced them to make sure what is on the wall stays there. The screws may work fine when you can hit a wall stud but I just upgraded to be safe. Otherwise, just use better hardware. It's very cheap insurance.It's obvious the money went into the hanger, not into the screws and anchors. I would pay a couple bucks more if better hardware were included but it's not a deal breaker. I really like this product.

These are very good hangers. They work well and are easy to install. Knocked off 1 star for reason unknown to me at the moment. For some reason, it simply does not deserve a 5 star rating. If they were a little more heavy duty, I would gladly spend more money for them. They work perfectly holding up a couple thousand dollars worth of guitars so maybe the 4 star is unwarranted. Either way, I am sticking with my gut rating this time and not going to feel guilty about it. Not sure what else I can include to encourage you to hit that 'Helpful' button but if you would that would be awesome. Know that I will be smiling on the inside when I get a notification that my very thorough review has actually helped someone with the purchasing decision. These are alright but don't feel as solid as some other brands I have. I bought these because of the tabs that appear to lock the instrument in place, but they are ineffective. I have another brand that is made of wood and those feel much more sturdy.

Was really happy with these until I noticed it chipped the finish on my Gibson headstock. I filed down the corners to prevent further damage (see photo).

I have a hercules wall hook on a guitar upstairs. The overall construction is simply better, but it was more than twice the cost so i figured i'd give these a whirl. They're fine. I have some electrics, but the one i was really curious about was my heavy warwick electric bass, and it holds it just fine.I did NOT use the included plastic plug toggles, i did get metal drywall anchors because i just trust them more.

Very professional looking and great quality. They keep my $1K+ guitars up off the ground and are very practical and easy to use even for that musician who has too much to drink.

Great design, fantastic holders, however if you value your guitars don't use the terrible wall anchors if they have that come with the holders, they fail within a year, drill them straight into wooden studs or slap a piece of wood up there and then install these straight through that piece of wood as long as it's all connected to studs so your guitars don't fall.
