I haven’t colored in years and forgot how much I truly enjoyed it. I was browsing for a few new books and stumbled across this enormous beautifully illustrated grayscale book by Molly Harrison. I absolutely fell in love with the few pages I found online and honestly didn't expect to find more than a handful that I would want to spend time coloring simply because I had never purchased a grayscale coloring book and didn't think the colors could be vibrant. I was obviously wrong. The pic is my first ever attempt and though it's still a work in progress. I am very pleased with how it's coming along. Most of my recent book purchases have been by Rita Berman and Johanna Basford but this purchase has definitely made me a fan of Molly Harrison. I'm no expert when it comes to paper types and have just recently purchased some watercolor pencils to add a little variety to my Prismas and Gels. The first picture took all 3 color types very well. The flower is a combo of watercolor pencils with a few dots of gel while the fairy is mostly Prisma with a touch of gel in some areas. No bleeding or seeping through but then again I tend to be very light handed and try to take my time layering. Bottom line is that I'm incredibly happy with this purchase and the price was well worth it for such an amazing book. Definitely recommend. UPDATE: Finished my 2nd page in this amazing book. Love how it turned out, love the beautiful variety of images and am already happily engrossed in my newest work in progress. Will definitely be making additional purchases soon!!
