What arew the extended strap lenghts for both models?

I'm not sure as I've not got the bag anymore but not long enough for a comfortable crossbody

Is it suitable for schools? Will it hold a laptop and school books?

It's a very good daily bag and school bag, plenty of room for books and laptops, I bought two, one for my daughter to use at school and the other I use for travel and daily use.

Are the straps long enough?

The straps are adjustable and fit anyone, I'm short but my husband is tall and we both fit this bag
