absolutely love this design- unfortunately one of the traps will not "set".
I never thought I would fall in love with a rat/mouse trap before! But this one is so uniquely designed, I love it! I set the trap in our garage and within a half an hr I had the pesky little varmint destroyed. very nice trap. only thing I have to say is, that one of the traps will not "set" so I cannot use it. so that is disappointing:0(. probably just a manufacturing defect of some sort. because the other 3 traps are very nice!

Cheap plastic and some metal construction œ
The first time I used them with peanut butter as the bait, the four traps caught four chipmunks. The next time I use them one of the traps completely disappeared. Probably with a squirrel carrying it off or a raccoon. The third time I use them and subsequently the peanut butter is gone but the trap has not been triggered. After setting it and testing it, it no longer activates when the animal goes for the bait so it's now worthless

9 Rats dead so far!
This is THE rat trap! I have caught 5 enormous rats and 4 large rats with this in a month. Sometimes I will literally have just put the trap down like 5 minutes before and suddenly I hear it go off, and I find another one! This thing has some powerful springs and works very well. Depending on how the rat gets caught is how quickly they die, but I have only had to finish killing 2 of the 5 and that was because they only got the top of their head caught. The others got their entire head stuck, so they were really dead. Highly recommend it, this trap helps give you the title of pied piper! Thanks, Shawn Woods for recommending this trap! It's AWESOME!!!!Note: After a while though, the traps will quit working, but I think after killing the large rats that I had, it was well worth the money. Sadly, I can't get any more due to it being out of stock.

THEY WORKED FOR ME
I WISH I HAD TAKEN A PICTURE OF WHAT I SEEN THIS MORNING. I FIRST NOTICE THIS MEDIUM SIZE RAT ONE NIGHT WHILE SITTING ON MY DECK AROUND 12 MIDNIGHT. HE RIGHT UP ON THE DECK...SAW ME...RAN AWAY....ABOUT 2 MINUTES LATER CAME BACK...I GUESS TO SEE IF I WAS STILL THERE......WOW....IT'S WAR TIME....I REALLY THOUGHT I DIDNT HAVE A RAT PROBLEM....BUT LIKE THEY SAY....THIS IS A SITUATION THAT YOU WILL HAVE TO KEEP TREATING AND PROTECTING YOUR HOME. LET ME ADD...I HAVE AN OLDER DOG...THAT NOW SOMETIMES DONT EAT ALL HIS FOOD AND YOU CAN GUESS WHERE I WAS FEEDING HIM...ON THE DECK....SO I THINK THE RAT WAS COMING UP AND EATING HIS FOOD, ESPECIALLY IF IT WAS LEFT OVER NIGHT. SO I PUT OUT MY CAMERA-BLINK CAMERA...LOVE THOSE CAMERAS...SO EASY TO MOVE FROM 1 PLACE TO ANOTHER IF NEED.....ANYWAY, I SAW THAT THE RAT BASICALLY WAS COMING EVERY NIGHT AROUND 12 MIDNIGHT TO LOOK FOR FOOD. WELL NOW THAT HE HAS A PATTERN.....SO START SEARCH FOR RAT TRAPS...ORDERED THIS PRODUCT...CAME THE NEXT DAY....EASY TO SET.....ALTHOUGH, I ORDERED 4, 1 OF THEM IS NOT WORKING. SO I PUT SOME PEANUT BUTTER AND A COUPLE RAT POISON PELLETS IN THE PEANUT BUTTER, BUT THE PEANUT BUTTER WAS MIXED WITH BAKING SODA.....FROM READING OTHER REVIEWS, JUST IN CASE A MICE GOT TO THE TRAP FIRST AND WAS ABLE TO EAT THE BAIT WITHOUT SETTING IT OFF.....HE WAS EATING SOME BAD STUFF....ALSO, IN CASE THE RAT WAS ABLE TO EAT SOME OF THE BAIT WITHOUT SETTING OFF THE TRAP-IT WOULD STILL BE BAD NEWS FOR HIM ALSO.....I DIDNT THINK THE RAT WOULD TAKE THE BAIT SO FAST.....BUT I HAD CUT OFF HIS FOOD SUPPLY(DOG FOOD), SO HE WAS PROBABLY A LITTLE HUNGRY......ANYWAY.....I SET 2 TRAPS....1 ON EACH SIDE OF THE DECK....AND SURPRISE SURPRISE.....THE RAT TOOK THE BAIT....AND THIS TRAP DID WHAT IT WAS SUPPOSE TO DO!!!!!! BAM! GOTCHA!

It catches rats, but you'll have to kill it yourself
I've been having trouble catching large rats as they're too smart for most traps (see photo next to my old traps). A couple have been able to struggle out of the previous traps Ive purchased. I was hoping these traps would be strong enough to finish them off quickly. First night with this trap, it caught one... but it didn't kill it. The trap just pinned its head down. From my rat cam, I could see that it ran in circles and squealed for 45 minutes before I discovered it. I hate rats as much as the next guy, but I don't want to see them suffer.Unless you only have small rats, buy something else.

Great ( idea )
The idea and function WAS great at first but two of them quickly wore out only after a few “sets” where it is really hard to put into place and when it does, it easily slips out and won’t stay set.

It works with the right trap placement
Hey guys, if you're reading this that means you're gathering opinions and experiences. I have bought this 4 set 3x.Day 1 - I used a Recess Peanut Butter cup for 3 traps located through my backyard. No dice.Day 2. I swapped all baits out for peanut butter. Within 8 hrs, I caught one. I placed this trap where I hear them suckers. 😤 I placed the trap inbetween a bunch of flower pots.I'll update tomorrow with pictures 📸First pic I set between some plant 🪴 pots. 2nd pic I pulled the trap out w my robo arm and placed the dead rat on the ground. Robo arm helped unclamp the trap. Just wanted to be sure it wouldn't spring up n bite incase it was playing dead.I don't think it to be the case because this mofo took blunt trauma to the dome!!!Though I wanted it to be a bloodless experience there was blood on the trap. I will most likely dispose of the trap due to the scent of blood. Have not decided yet. Might just give to father for his set of traps. Thanks Kat Sense

Waste of money...
Well the product looks good though it is smaller then I expected... I actually had a rat get hit by this trap and take off with the trap... So far outta 4 attempts on critters it's 1/3 on the rat side of things. Meaning it did it's job once and the other two time the rats ran off with the trap to be found in a different part of the garage. As for the one I set outside I have a very angry red squirrel. I watched with my own eyes ... The squirrel took a direct hit from the trap. The squirrel then did a wild shaking jig and broke loose and ran off. So these traps are not powerful enough... And to small ... They are good for very small rats maybe but not a Ohio sewer rat...not a red squirrel... I will never waste my money on this product again
