A decent replacement for Apple's expensive cables
I'm still regularly using a 10+ year old MacBook Pro with the original MagSafe connector. That connector was poorly designed and I have broken several of them over the years.. I was happy to see that there is now an alternative solution available. This device works, but it does not fit as snuggly as the Apple connector, so it's prone to fall out more often, but still keeps the laptop charged. I'm using it with an Anker 100W power supply and a 10ft long 100W USB-C cable. One odd thing about this adapter (and maybe mine was just assembled wrong), but the light on it glows green with the laptop is charging and turns to amber when it is fully charged, the reverse of what it should be. That took a bit to get used to, but it doesn't seem to effect performance at all.

Revised! A short term solution for Apple's L-shaped magsafe connector 1
Update (May 2023) - broke :(After 6 months of continuous use, the LED light no longer lit, and often did not charge due to poor connection and needed a little jiggling, then the magnetic piece at the end of connector came off (the plastic piece that hold the magnet onto the connector broke off). I bought a similar connector but with USB-C cable from the same company as a replacement. The connector heats up while charging so that may be the reason for a short life span.I found this product while looking for a replacement Apple L-shaped magsafe connector for my Macbook Pro 2010. Previously, I purchased three aftermarket power adapters and several power cords with the magsafe connector to fix/replace the connector instead of the entire power adapter. Unfortunately, these fixes were always temporary fixes. The current power adapter was purchased 4 months ago, and now requires gentle massage at the magsafe-wire junction for proper connection, likely due to a broken wire from (moderate) repeated use. This product, using USB-C connection, bypasses this weakest link, and delivers enough power from a more modern USB-C based power supply. Most importantly, the connection to the receiver side of magsafe on Macbook Pro is solid, despite the receiver side being 13 years old and the surrounding area is out of shape from hitting the floor. The pins in this adapter are not spherical as depicted in the listing, rather U-shaped - see pic. Needless to say, I am delighted to find this product, and hope that I will never have to replace the power supply or the magsafe connector again. If you are like me and own an irreplaceable laptop with a magsafe connector (due to a proprietary software installed), you should consider this adapter.Note: L-tip is for Magsafe 1 and T-tip for Magsafe 2 - they are not compatible so make sure to buy the correct connector!

Agree with others: only last about 6 months
The adapter worked fine for about 6 months, allowing me to only bring on the road only one charger for both my USB-C Macbook M1, as well as a 15-in MBPro with magsafe-1. It started to not charge well last month and now really cannot deliver any charge to the MBP. I thought it was the battery and even replaced it before testing my genuine Apple magsafe charger, which works fine with the old battery. For whatever reason it failed, if they can fix that, it is a useful item. As it is, it is a 6-month stop-gap disposable part.

Works on MacBook Pro (2011)
Bought this adapter, a usb type c to type c 100W cable, and a 130W GaN wall charger. It works GREAT! Got tired of the OEM Apple charger ALWAYS coming apart and failing. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars, is that this adapter does not sit well/ flush on my 2011 MacBook Pro. The magnet will hold on to it tight enough to charge it, but this adapter will wobble around.

Worked! just for about 5 months!
I lost my Macbook air charger and got a replacement that didn't have the original charging plug as its default , and instead, had a USB-C plug. I had to get an adapter. This adapter worked nicely in the beginning. At about 4 months, it started falling apart, The shell came off the core, it started getting VERY hot, and now half the time it either doesn't charge my Macbook or I will have to keep it at a certain angle or manually hold it to the charging port to deliver the charge. for 1$12 it was worth the 4 months of use, but I'd rather get something of better quality for more money.

If it doesn't fit, you must acquit! Lol
It does the job, but connection always goes in and out. If low battery notification comes on, plugging it in doesn't trigger the removal of said notification. Only when charging up past 10 percent does the low battery notification go off. It's constantly flickering on and off. That being said, it does eventually charge to 100%. Overall, it beats buying the normal l-tip battery over and over again.

Worked well, but slightly confusing...
It charges well, I was amused to discover the charge light works backwards... It shows green while charging, and switches to orange when charged.Once I worked that out, I am quite happy, I can keep an old 2011 11" MacBook Air working of my 2021 MBP charger. The old Apple one is pretty sad!

Didn't work
Didn't really work with my 2008 MacBook. The adapter didn't fit well with the Magsafe port on the laptop, so there was a lot of wiggling and it kept disconnecting/reconnecting. Ultimately it'd come lose since it wasn't properly attached. Perhaps because the actual product doesn't look like the pictures. The 5 pegs are actual thinner rectangular ones and not as solid as the pictures make it seem. Quite flimsy overall. It's also supposed to blink orange when charging, but my unit kept blinking green at all times. Returning for refund.
