Yes this made a difference over the stock plastic one. No more separation layers! Installed in only few minutes on my Creality Ender 3 Pro. which has a 15mm motor shaft- no issue. Remember to redo your e-steps and flow calibration after replacement.

I installed a metal extruder on my Ender 3 Pro to replace the stock plastic one, and it’s been a great upgrade. The installation was easy — it bolted right up using the original hardware, and the filament path lined up perfectly without needing any modifications. I had the original feeder arm break on my but even before it broke there was a lot of slippage. I think the originals have more flex because they are plastic. This one is solid and the tension can be adjusted very precicely. Game changer for me.
